Spouse Sponsorship Outland Case Transfer To VISA Office

Hey guys! My application was received by cic on August 29. My biometrics was received on October 21 and my medical exam was passed on October 25. Many many people in the August Outland group have gotten their case transferred to a visa office regardless of doing medicals/biometrics. Mine hasn’t been transferred yet.. why could this be? Is there something wrong? How long should this take? Thank you so much for your help! I’m very worried because everyone is getting theirs transferred except for me

Take a deep breath, and relax. Remember all applications are different and take different paths and different lengths of time.

Our application was received on Jan 4/19 and it was only transferred to local visa office on Oct 3/19, and we heard nothing for over 4 months. Others have waited longer and some are still waiting. Others got their PPR within 4 or 5 months like in your group.

You can always phone IRCC and ask for the status of your file but be prepared to hear that this is a 12 month process so it could be awhile before your file is transferred.

You will find this process is not fun and an exercise in patience. Good luck!

Yes, it did! Nope, still waiting but hopefully it will be in the next month or so. Our year will be up in just less than two months, so hopefully we will make it by that time. We just have to hang in there!
