Guys, I registered for OINP on 16-Sep and received the file# (last three digits are 3xx). An application got submitted on 25-Sep. Considering the application/file# was created well before Intake was closed on 23-Sep, I am not sure it would still be considered. What do you think the chances of consideration?

I see the trend is that it takes about a month time to get status changed from 'Submitted' to 'Assessment'. Hopefully my application will be considered, fingers crossed !
If the application says the status "Submitted", you're good to go. An applicant is required to submit in 14 days after the file number registration. So, applicants who registered a couple of days before Sep - 23, can submit even after the program is closed.

Today after 40 days status still submitted can I call OINP OR wait ????
I think than you don't lose anything making a call. If I were you, I would call them. The worst thing that could happen is get a "you are still between the 60-90 days of processing time and have to wait", but I don't believe that calling could affect your application.

Thanks for response! So, intake closed does not mean that they have not stopped offering new nominations? If they still providing the nominations, how about the nomination quota allocated for 2019? It must have been full at the moment. As per the recent update posted on their official website, as of Oct'19, more than 6100 province nominations are already sent. So, hardly 500 nominations were left. so, wondering what would be future of my ongoing application submitted on Sep25. lol

Yes. They close the intake when they receive the allocated quota. That doesn't mean they can't accept further applications. When they start screening, assessment, some applications may be deemed ineligible. So, they have their statistical number when to stop the intake. If they see the nominations are short of allocated for the year, they reopen the program. And, may I ask where did you see the number 6100 on their official website.

My mistake. So, yes. Around 500-600 nominations are left. In 2018, they exceeded the allocated nominations by 250. So, if the OINP assess your application to be valid and you submit before deadline/ closing date, you may be nominated, no matter if they exceed the allocated nominations from Federal govt.
