So do I!! It’s only fair that Decisions be made on the applications that were received earlier. @robertp Sponsor DM recieved today and biometrics completed today also
Holy moly, medical requests received today also after the biometrices were done by both of my parents this morning. After the long wait in process, things seems to be moving along quickly!! @robertp

Hi,

I did receive the SA letter through email advising that sponsor has been approved. The LVO indicated is New Delhi. Parents are from Nepal. However, my parents are here in Canada, BC (on supervise) and they will be here for at least a year.

1.I am wondering if it will be better to call CIC and advise them to change LVO to Mississauga? I have mixed information from reading previous posts, some are saying LVO cannot be changed, while others are able to call the call centre and change it. It seems like it's faster processing through Mississauga compared to New Delhi.

2.Also since I received the SA letter yesterday, I don't have any requirements for new information. I am guessing we will need to provide medical and biometrics. My parents did have their biometrics taken when they applied for US visitor visa, would that be sufficient even though it was done more than 6 months ago? What can I expect for the next steps and how long will it take for them to inform me regarding next steps? Adding to this point, when I log onto cic, I do see the following:

Biometrics:
  • Biometrics Number:
  • Date of Biometrics Enrolment:
  • Expiry Date:

Application received on May 8th. SA letter received on 8th of October. It's for parents.

Any help or feedback is much appreciated.
Hi there I was in same situation as you. my parents are here on super visa and my file was transferred to LVO back home. I called IRCC and asked them about my request to change LVO. The agent told me to send webform and asked me to send a request to process my file here in Canada. I sent my webform already and waiting for response

You should not disclose it as the purpose of visit in the border. Just mention you are there to visit and shop and it would be ok.

Some in the forum already completed their BIO in US.
We are going for an interview next week and in US visa 160 forum I mentioned that I am visiting USCIS, so they will definietly refuse a visa. I just need a consult now what to answer to an immigration officer for a US visa.

Question to the group. For the police checks, i know they last for 6 months but they take about 2 weeks to be posted out in the UK. Does anyone know if the IRCC frowns upon applicants doing the police check before they request it?

Please add me to the list. I received the invitation to sponsor my parents from India on April 24, 2019. My application was received in Ottawa on June 27th 2019. I live in ON, Canada. I have not received any response/email from CiC

Hey guys, I sent my application for my parents June 12th, 2019 and I haven't receive the AoR, I did not pay for tracking so I'm not sure if they actually got my documents so I'm a little worry. I received the invitation letter to apply on June 25th and my documents probably arrived June 14-15. I live in Milton and I think my processing center is Mississauga and reading some post, it looks that office is very slow. My parents are from Venezuela. Please add the to the Google docs if you like. I'll update as soon I get any info about my case.

You have to wait 3-4 wks to hear from them.

Not paying for tracking was not a very smart idea.

Just sent the required documents to Mississauga email. Got my file to be around 2MB, the pictures are kind of blurry, hope that's okay.

Not at all. I just did my mothers & it was turned around in 4 days door to door at a cost. Best to be prepared!
