Today the stream was closed again!
Yah. Too many applicants is what I get from this. People with genuine MNC offers suffer because of this.

Intake Closed for the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream
Please note that the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has closed intake to the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream as of September 23, 2019. No new applications can be submitted as of this date.

The Employer Job Offer Foreign Worker and International Student streams have seen a significant increase in applications in 2019 and due to Ontario’s limited nomination allocation from the Federal government, the province has met its application target for these streams for the year.

The Employer Job Offer Foreign Worker and International Student Streams will re-open in 2020 to accept applications for the new nomination year. The Employer Job Offer In-Demand Skills Stream remains open to applications at this time.

Hey guys I applied on Sep 9 and still in submitted status.

I have one question, after being nominated, what should I do (next step)? I friend of mine said that I have to apply by paper, not using the Express Entry website, and the entire process could take 2 years.

What do you guys know about this?

Thx

Yo can apply for PR either on paper ot by express entry. If you do it by paper, it takes 18 months. If you do it by EE it takes 6 months. That's up to you.

This is the information on OINP page:
If your application is successful and you are nominated by the Ontario government, the next step is to apply for permanent residence through IRCC: www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/provincial-nominees.html

As you can see, on IRCC web page are explained both systems:
Paper: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio.../provincial-nominees/application-process.html
EE: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...minees/application-process/express-entry.html
Hey Chivinas, thank you for your quickly answer. I sent your answer to my friend and she said that you need to create the EE profile and inform that your're nominated by the province, but you don't receive 600 points. To receive the 600 points you should continue with the application by paper.

I'm so confused because it makes no sense to me, being nominated, apply and inform to EE electronically and then continue by paper and wait 18 months.

Thx again

It depends on how you get your nomination. If you applied for OINP under a non-Express Entry stream (Job Offer for example), the application is by paper and it takes 15-19 months: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio.../provincial-nominees/application-process.html

If you got the nomination under an Express Entry stream, then the applications is by EE

It's confusing.... if you read the web page of IRCC says:
Note: If you have a nomination that is not for Express Entry, or it was issued before January 1, 2015, you must apply using the paper-based process. You cannot use this nomination for Express Entry.
