  • Hi Members, last time someone mentioned about a situation that parent gave biometrics in the past as super visa, if they are in Canada and required biometrics, can we re-use it or have to leave the country, thanks in advance.

If your parents have done bio then most likely they will not be asked again. Your application will proceed with the bio they have on file. But if they ask you for bio again, then your parents have to exit country to get their bio done. Currently, this is the only way bio is done.

Hello All,

Has anybody done biometric from USA? USCIS office in Montana or any other USCIS office in USA? How is your experience about it?
If we have valid US visitor visa (B1/B2) then USCIS would accept our biometric request? I have already booked appointment with them but i am skeptical about it.

Can anybody shed some lights on it?

We did bio at Helena, Montana and it was very straight forward. All done in 10 minutes then the long drive back to Calgary.

I feel like crying!
Everyday/hour we are waiting for it.
STILL NOTHING
This is so unfair...
If there was anything wrong with our applications that could cause ineligibility, I'm positive that they would have rejected our applications in the first few weeks like they rejected other applicants this year. So We are 100% qualified and WE KNOW THAT WE ARE QUALIFIED that's why this random thing makes me really upset :(

Oh ok

I agree getting US visa is a mission. Wait is too long. I mean they should definitely consider if parents are in Canada. Did you try calling them or send a web form with some explanation??
Yes I sent a webform but no clear answer as either they accepted my request or not. I sent another webform today......:/

This thread is for Parents/Grandparents Sponsorship for Permanent Residency. But to answer your question, based on my past expeeience applying for super visa for my mom, I'd say the proof of funds from you as the sponsor is more important. As you can see in the link below:

The child or grandchild who invites you must prove that their household meets the minimum necessary income. The following documents are examples of what can be used as proof of funds:

  • Notice of Assessment (NOA) or T4/T1 for the most recent tax year
  • Employment Insurance stubs
  • employment letter including salary and date of hiring
  • pay stubs
  • bank statements
