We’re all in similar situations. Some one said it 2 to 4 months process after application been forwarded to local visa office. Mine is almost 3 months since the application has been sent to the VO. Did my son medical July and show pass on august 1st 2019. No email from them since . I’m really surprise the way Canada immigration handles children application. I was expecting so much from them when it comes to children.
Absoulutly seems like they give importance or preference to any other case than children . Which should have been prioritized over above every thing . Wish you all the luck .

Exactly my dear. I called immigration Canada before applying for my son. And the guy that picked up was so nice on the phone. Telling me the application won’t take long because the child is young. I was so holding on his words, but not any more. I’m disappointed in Canada immigration really .

If they can process visitor visa, students visa in less them 4 months. Why not dependent children application? Smh. It almost the beginning of school year here in Canada. Have email them like millions times, all they can reply back is your application is in queue and no decision has been made.

I can totally understand your pain . That’s brutal . I hope things workout for all of us . Usually the represtatives over the phone are good for nothing . Probably we all know more by now what they know. I am a protected person here it’s been 10 years now . Immigration keep refusing my parents visitor visa . I haven’t seen them . Than initially they refused my children PR cause I didn’t have full custody despite the fact their father is out of picture since they were minor . Long storey short . Immigration suck !! All I hope we get our children PS you all know dealing with those lawyers is just like dealing with some professional degree holder con artists . Very few are honest . Good luck to us

Sorry to hear that but yes TVR is hard to get once your child’s PR case is under process .

Was the application in Canada when they requested for medical? Or was it at the visa office? Maybe the decision is made already that’s why they refused him the TRV. If I knew this PR was gonna take this long, I would have apply for TRV instead and apply for PR when he’s in Canada. That’s what most people do and they have their kids visa in less them 3 months. I guess all we can do now is wait.

File was still here in Canada when they requested Medical and then transferred file to VO after a week. It will now reach the ave time of processing by end of this month. So hopefully we'll get the golden email soonest

Thats great news and I'm in the same boat. got PPR today. Is your kid is in India or Canada? My kid is in Canada on visitor visa and I'm confused if we can send passport to CPC-Ottawa.
In the letter, they have mentioned that I can mail the passport to CPC Ottawa office. My kid was in India, so we sent it to New Delhi office.
