Hi,
My crs score is currently 435 and i have received an invite from Ontario on August 1st 2019 during the tech draw( which happened for 435 and above)

If i update my express entry profile as spouse accompanying with me to canada my CRS score reduces to 431.
Now is it safe to apply for ONIP as a single applicant or with an accompanying spouse, if applied along with spouse what are the chances of success/rejection ?

I have reached out to multiple consultants but none seem to have enough insight on my current situation.

@WantToImmigrate , @13nitinsharma @rajkamalmohanram Please help me with this situation !!!!!!!

Thanks in advance
You can't change it to "accompanying spouse" since your score (431) is below the cut-off range of OINP for Aug 1.

Your profile will be ineligible if you make this change, and your NOI will be invalid.

Hi, my supervisor is in UK and I am unable to get affidavit from him. Is it okay if I get the same from a colleague? Will it be valid?

I submitted my OINP application on 1st July and moved to DIP on 19th after submit an ADR but I’ve been stuck at DIP since then.
Noticed on immitracker that people who submitted on 12th are getting approvals already.

Don’t know if I should contact OINP or wait it out. The wait is depressing!!!

Respected members,

I need your valuable insights on urgent basis for below query as my deadline for OINP is approaching this week.

I am currently on Intra Company Transferee Visa (came from India) which is LMIA Exempt. I am submitting my profile for OINP and there is a question in the profile. I am not sure whether my visa falls under this category or not, could you please let me know what should be the answer to this questions? There is no exemption code mentioned on the work permit which I have.

Was your current work permit issued under the circumstances described in paragraph 204(a) or (c) or in section 205 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations?

Thank you,
Gary Singh Rai

You should be getting nomination soon.. Processing times state that applications get processed in 30-60 days.. You're down 45.. I'd say wait and on the 61st day.. mail 'em!

The way I see it, your OINP NOI was issued was based on the information in your EE profile at the time (spouse is not accompanying) and that means your application is treated similar to someone with a 'single' marital status.

Adding your spouse as accompanying AFTER you got the invite without approval of OINP might raise some red flags, IMO.

I would strongly recommend that you write to OINP about your situation and politely request them to let you add the spouse as accompanying and they might allow it.

I wish you all the very best and I hope OINP approves your request.

"Have you, your spouse or common-law partner, or any of your dependent children, already submitted or been included in an Application for Permanent Residence to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)?"
- I created an EE profile on Aug 9, 2018 but withdrawn it in Jan 2019 and created a new one on which I received a NOI. So, do I select Yes or No for this question?

You should answer 'No' to this question.

- During my first year of employment, salary was not paid for first three months as it was the norm there and it has been mentioned in my offer letter too. My pay check started after three months of being employed. If I submit my first salary slip, should I write something extra to explain this in my application?

They don't necessarily have to know this. Even if you are submitting pay stubs, you only submit paystubs for the last 3 months. Don't volunteer unnecessary information unless they explicitly ask for it.

- There is >2 years time gap between my study period and the beginning of my employment. Back then, I was looking for employment as well as self-studying for a competitive examination in my country. What do I need to write/submit to justify this time gap?

'Unemployed'/ 'Studying for XYZ exams'.

Hi Guys,

I recently got OINP NOI on 1st Aug under the 2173 NOC code. I have following queries regarding the application documents submission :
1. With regards to the letter from the previous employers and currently employer, I have total of 7.5 years of experience out of which 5 years are in the current job. However, 1st 2.5 years of experience I have is with 2 different employers. I can procure the letter from my current employer but not from the previous employers. Shall I show the previous employers under my work history as they ask for last 10 years of experience or is it okay without it because I won't be able to get the letters ( don't have enough time to get letters from colleagues as well) ? In the case if I go without it, shall I show those two jobs under my resume?

2. For the Letter of Intent to reside in Ontario, I have a cousin who is a citizen. I would like to mention his name but I am not taking advantage of him for points. Do I need to show the supporting documents like my father's and uncle's birth certificate as a proof that I have a relative?

Thanks a lot for answering the queries.

Hello,

I would suggest you to call the OINP once and explain this. I had the same question and the OINP person said they don't care what the EE profile mentions about the spouse accompanying status. They review the case independently and they have limited access to the EE profile.

They suggested that if the plan is to bring the family, better to mention it as accompanying in the PNP application. There won't be any problem from their side.

They said they just review the case based on the info provided in the PNP application and if nominated provide 600 pts to the profile.

Regarding the EE profile, I think you shouldn't change it as Nitin mentioned since it may make your application invalid since your points drop below the invite score.

If and after you get the nomination, you could change the EE profile to accompanying before the ITA. You could provide a LoE regarding this.

OINP said such a change is under IRCC's juridiction and they can't comment on this. So its your call, but from their end they don't care about the spouse accompanying status in the EE profile.

I had heard similar response from one of the other member's conversation with OINP customer service.

I would recommend you to call them, they are very welcoming and detailed in their answers.

Hi,

Thank you for the explanation. I am also in the same dilemma and this answer was helpful. However in case we do follow the above, does that mean the accompanying spouse would also be able to work in Canada since she wasn't part of the earlier EE application. ?

Hi guys

My CRS score is 455 and I received an interest letter from Ontario post it's 15 Aug priority occupations drawto apply for PNP. I am confused about the following:

1. The last few EE draws cut-offs have been high and I don't know if the cut-offs will drop anytime soon. Is it worth waiting for direct ITA?
2. I do not have any Canadian work experience nor do I have a job offer. However, I have foreign ( Indian) work experience of more than 7 years
3. I do not have any siblings or blood relatives in Canada. What are my chances of getting nominated if I apply for the OINP?

Hi,

I am not sure if I understand your concern correctly.

If you modify the profile before the ITA and provide the LoE regarding the change, both you and your spouse should be eligible for PR if IRCC don't find it objectionable. I guess even an LoE may not be needed since its OK to make changes to the profile before the ITA. I could be wrong here.

However, once you and your wife get PR, both of you should have the same employment rights as any other PR holder.
