Jun 6 I got first GU which I don't know what it was about.
Jun 14 my medicals expired.
Jun 15 (Saturday) I got the automated GU which changed my medicals to "you do not need medicals"
In the week of Jun 17-22 I gave them one call, the agent was very rushed and he said my background check was done. He also said not to do any medicals and wait for instructions from CIC.
Nothing since then.

This is security check... be prepared it for extra half year to 1 year.

They sure take their time... I think I'm in the same boat. Ridiculous.

I don’t think so and it’s only the extension which is left and upfront won’t make difference because if extended it will create confusion for the officer that’s y just need to wait

Not necessarily !!! May be I just got lucky to get DM in two weeks after CV/Resume !!!!

yeah, but he got CV and degree and publication. It has a higher prob to get security check... so I told him to prepare for it. But finally we will all get it !! It is just matter of time

I got the same, CV, degree, publication etc request. Mine was more complicated caz all of my publications are in Nuclear Experimental field ! Yes, it sometime takes longer, one of my friend is stuck, now 30th month, with work experience in Nuclear power reactor !!!!
