All 3 times that I took IELTS, British Council had booked a huge hall at an easily accessible 5 star hotel with free water bottles along with a staff of 25-30, trying to make sure you that those 500 odd people taking the exams are given a pleasant experience. Such arrangements along with transportation, administration, IT and refreshments for staff costs a lot of money and BC/IDP is justified in charging the test fee. I guess, for you, SAT/GRE/GMAT are also huge money-making scams along with WES and others?
No, not at all.! I’ve already completed my Canadian master’s degree by having GRE. I’ve written my dissertation and several research papers in English. There’s nothing wrong with other exams. However, Ielts is kinda resistance against ‘immigration’. Moreover, I took all my three exams in cramped places with old-fashioned tape players within Canada, not in 5-star hotels with high-quality sound systems. Anyway, your points don’t seem sensible to me. You blindly try to advocate Ielts even though thousands of people suffer from it! I don’t wanna see your ridiculous comments anymore.!
Hey, I am not blindly advocating IELTS/BC/IDP. I took the damn test 3 times, that is INR 39750 + INR 3000 on gas and this INR42000 is a huge amount of money on just one stupid test. I studied the test pattern, found out my faults, practised and attempted again. I do wish if I had done all of the above on my first or second attempt. But, I can either be frustrated and try to find someone to blame or look ahead, I chose to look ahead.
On a lighter note, for, cramped places with old fashioned tapes vs 5-star hotels with sound quality sound systems, Developing India: 1. Developed Canada: 0.

The only thing that I’ve been saying since the beginning of this discussion is ‘Ielts is a huge money-generating tool for capitalist economies’. Your 7 writing score or 5-star hotels or the bottled water given during the exam don’t change this brutal truth.!

Had you been a more aware person, you would have known that British Council and IDP are registered as Non Profit organisations in most jurisdictions around the world. They ought to spend each and every penny they take from you and me and everyone else and spend it on tests administration, it's staff and the upkeep of their organisation. NPO's cannot make profits.
You should call the British Council or IDP, from whom you took the test. If yours was British Council and if they have already dispatched your TRF, you would be in a tough position because they don't issue TRF again to candidates.
I have called to customer support they told that they have dispatched it yesterday only..so I guess I will get it by tomorrow.
