Hi,

Did anyone have to fill out the form for power of attorney when you asked your spouse to talk to the agent instead of you?

I asked my husband to call the agent and now they asked me to fill out the fill 5475 to give to them? Are u guys the same?

I could make another post about it so others see but thought I'd share.

I just returned into YVR from a trip to Hawaii (I am USA citizen) and customs was easy.

It's a system done digitally and you enter how long/reason for Canada(work and visit).

I put 180 days so if they ask why that time, it is the estimated time remaining on my PR application.

The CBSA officer simply asked to see my work permit, asked what I do for work, I answered, he said perfect, and off we went.

I am a Dec 19 applicant(common law) and medical passed on Mar 18. Still 'we are processing your application' with no BCG started yet. It is a bit frustrating as reading posts that other people already get their eligible passes, DM etc.. :( Happy for them and feel jealous at the same time.
Do you have a big family? Sometimes background takes longer with more siblings

Yes even i am thinking to fill it out since they said i have limited access to the file being a sponsor.. they told me to fill out IMM5475 but i didn't submit yet ... Should i use IMM 5475 or use of representative form ? i am bit confused

Hi, i was thinking of IMM 5475 cos it is personal representative, not a lawyer. That's in my opinion.

I have parent and four siblings(neither step or half if it does matter?) and put their info on the application. They all live in home country. 4 siblings considered as a big family I guess?

Hello Everyone :)
This is my first post here.. for some reasons I just found this thread!
So I am a Cad citizen sponsoring my wife inland/Quebec...
I have spent sometimes catching up on the messages here and Quebec Inland Sponsorship seems to be sooo much behind than you all :-(
I am so mad!!!!

here is our timeline:

Sponsorship Application Status: Application Received:
  1. We received your application to sponsor X on December 5, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 1, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on January 31, 2019.

Permanent Residence Application Status: In Process
  1. We received X application for permanent residence on December 5, 2018.
  2. We started processing X application on March 25, 2019.
NO MED REQUEST NO news ever since.. on march 25 we also received her CSQ (Certificat of Selection in Quebec) and that is it! :-(

I am beyond worried and mad!!

Maybe a bit more time you will get some news. Cos for me in Toronto, I just got my BGC started recently as well. It will be fine. Or you can call and ask them. Or no need to worry yet. Good luck!

Well, one good thing about no med request yet is that your medical won’t expire, requiring you to do it over again (and pay again!)— I think Quebec applicants get Ned requests later in their process partly for that reason.

I know it’s frustrating, but at least CSQ is done— and if it came back in March that is actually pretty quick turnaround time! And the ‘normal’ application process started after CSQ, so at least you’re on your way :)

You can always order GCMS notes if you want to know which parts of your application are done. But take heart: December in general has been having amazingly quick processing time compared to people who applied earlier in 2018 — a lot of people are still waiting!
