Congrats!! when did you apply and when did u pass ur medical?
What is the best way for family tree .. I been sponsored by my uncle which is my mother younger brother .. is it necessary to including my mother birth certificate, my uncle birth certificate and my dad marriage certificate... is that not too much ? Just explain the relationship between me and my uncle
Bro, as per my knowledge your mother's brother can sponsor you..I don't know why they did like that...But consult any good consultant, if he says that birth certificate of mother & uncle are required to confirm their relation, then I think you should surely attach these birth certificates. Don't take any risk & provide all the docs as per requirement. In my case,my father-in-law & my wife sponsored me & they accepted....Best of luck bro.

How much is your tuition fee ? You should at least show first year's budget. Tuition+10k dollar. How much is 8m in canadian dollar ? More is better. What program are you going to study ? Is it related to geology ? I don't think you have any other reason to be refused.

Hi guys,

Got my approval last week and visa this week!

I submitted an online application (non-SDS) from India for August intake. Below is my timeline -

April 23: Got upfront medical done & submitted online application with all required documents
April 25: Got request for biometrics submission
April 26: Submitted biometrics
May 07: Received student acknowledgment email (which I'm made to understand are automated)
May 21: Received another acknowledgment email stating that my application is in process but due to high volume of applications, it's taking time for IRCC to process them
May 22: Medical passed & eligibility review status changed to "We have started reviewing your eligibility"
May 27: Submitted a web form enquiring about status of my application since 5+ weeks had passed from the date I submitted my biometrics (no response received till date but I'm not complaining!)
June 05: Final decision changed to "your application has been approved", received biometrics confirmation letter and got passport request letter on my GC key
June 06: Submitted passport at VFS Mumbai
June 10: Status of my application changed to approved & received correspondence letter which was basically the LOI
June 12: Collected my passport from VFS Mumbai which was stamped with the TRV and the envelope had a tiny slip which mentioned that my study permit application was approved.

This forum really helped me keep my wits together. It took 45+ days for my visa to be approved and for the longest time there was no update.

I would advise future applicants to submit a cover letter highlighting why they chose to pursue the course, tie it up with their experience / educational background, and give strong reasons why you would come back to your home country after you complete the course. Also attach your resume (extra information never hurt anyone), IELTS scoresheet, transcripts, degree, salary slips (if you're employed) in the client information tab. Your case will be stronger if you have a good covering letter & IELTS scores.

For those facing proof of funds issue, start with a cover letter giving a break up of your fees, living expenses, insurance & travel expenses and then give a break up of the funds and clearly state who is funding your education. For me, I provided my education loan summary, stated that my parents would mostly be funding my living expenses & also mentioned that I have my own funds to fall back on in case of any contingency. I gave edu loan documents & account statements for everything + a certificate by a chartered accountant to support this.

Good luck to you all and I hope everyone gets through!

Then I think it's good enough. I hope you have written strong SOP about why you chose to study in this 1 year program even tough you have already Bach degree. And why you couldn't study this particular program in your home country.
Many of the crms notes I have read in this forum forgot to mention about why they should study in Canada instead of their home country. IRCC probably thinking why this particular person wanted to study in Canada by spending so much money for lesser degree.

Hi, I applied for visa today under SDS category from India. I have some questions
1. I had heard that SDS is to reduce documentation and the applicant needs to submit only 1 year tution fee and 10k GIC. But my agent also submit My parent's income tax returns.
2. Agent has told me that if I want earlier appointment at the nearest VFS them I can contact an agent who will take INR 2000. So my question is that is there are corruption in the embassy?

Did you by submit a letter from your uncle explaining your relationship, certifying that he will sponsor you and prove it with his account statements of past 6 months?

You can take an appointment online. Don't fall for your agent's claims. Also please ensure that the agent who is handling your case file is authorized to do so.

My visa had expired in March, so I had to get a new one. I don't see them having to stamp yours since its valid. Any updates?
Okay.. I had sent them a web form few hours later they send me request for medical. I will get that done next week. Keeping my fingers cross. When are you travelling?
