Do u know what kind of disease.my mom has diabetes and hyperthyroidism that she takes medication.
DM and Hyperthyroidism is NOT on the list of inadmissable conditions.

They are looking for conditions that take up a lot more resources. Eg Renal failure on dialysis.

Rare conditions that require drugs that cost a bomb.

Multiple sclerosis. Cancer that has not been treated and not in remission.

Stuff like that. So your mom is fine. Don't worry.

Hi guys. One quick help. In sch A background. Is it mandatory to write the “name” by hand!?

I typed it in the box and my parents signed it.

Appreciate if any one can quickly confirm.

It is mandatory to sign by hand, according to the doc cheklist. Logic says you dont need typing your name in that case.

If u typed name n signed by hand than its acceptable... I missed signs by hand... Now waiting for application to be returned... But I would say form is quite misleading as it says"by typing name u r signing electronically " And now they r not accepting it... :(

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I am sponsoring my mom from UK. I retained a lawyer as we have a couple of issues. Thank you to this wonderful forum and its members , I found out about updated forms just before my lawyer sent them. So there was a discussion to send updated forms or the old version and here is a comment from my lawyer’s office- do submit updated versions of the application documents as IRCC will return the package as incomplete. Now we are in a rush to update them and My mom , me and my co-signer again have to sign them. It is a bad play from IRCC and what my lawyer’s office thinks is that how they are going to eliminate this extra number of applications that they allowed (26,000+ instead of 20,000) . So my advice , if you haven’t submitted the application yet, update docs before you submit it, otherwise there is a high chance for them to be returned as incomplete. I know there was a twitter post by IRCC saying otherwise but there is a history of them being wrong, don’t take a chance a submit updated versions.
Good luck all
which updated forms you are referring to?
I started filling out application after invitation sent at that time forms were updated. Did you notice another update later on? Did your lawyer fill out forms prior to receiving invitation?

Why do you need a lawyer?

If you signed and sent the before June 1st, there is no way they will be returned.

The chages in the forms are across all Federal organizations to add more gender options only as far I know and not related to CIC only. The changes came in effect from Jun 1
