Here is my story.

I am Nigerian. I heard that to apply for PCC, we need to download the fingerprint form, take it to a police officer in your current resident country who would attest the fingerprints by signing. After this process, you will take the form to the UAE Embassy to attest.

While filling my form only, i did not put anything for Emirates ID as i had lost mine and could not remember it. I was so surprised that after 2 days of my online application and payment, My PCC came and i saw my Emirates ID number on it. My 2 cents is that, Emirates ID hastened the process and when my data was put in the system, it generated the ID number. Therefore, there is no need for fingerprint and embassy runs.

I believe without an Emirates ID, you need to get your fingerprints validated. I also confirmed from a friend who didnt have an ID and she said she had to go to the entire process of finger print validation and getting it authorized at the embassy before sending the hardcopy to DXB.

I hope this helps. Regards.
Thanks for clarifying. But even to apply online or register a account it still is asking for emirates ID.

You don't have to put anything in the Emirates ID part. If you had one, they will process it based on the info on their data page.

Hello !

I was in the UAE from 2003 to 2009 on a resident visa. I was not issued an EID as I was studying at a university in the UAE.

I went through the Dubai Police website and it guided me through the fingerprinting procedure and all (procedure for people residing outside UAE). I tried following the procedure and have been going around in circles for three weeks now. Where I come from this is a real bureaucratic mess as none of the ministries want to work.

Someone suggested that the best option would be to visit Dubai for a few days and get the PCC issued in person.

Can anyone guide me what I should expect in terms of the procedure if I visit in person? Which police station will I have to go to? Will the procedure be swift or there will be problems for me (since I do not have an EID).

Thanks in advance.

Hi guys. I need a little help with my clearance certificate. I do not have an Emirates ID and I need to get the clearance certificate, so I have already got my fingerprint card and got it attested from the UAE embassy. On making online payment for the clearance certificate, I received an email from them with the address I am supposed to send the fingerprints on. So, I dispatched the fingerprints through a courier service to the same address, as below, which was provided to me by them through email:

Dubai Police General Headquarters –Good Conduct Certificate Section
C.I.D Building Al Ittihad Road,
P. O. Box 1493, Dubai, U.A.E.

However, to my surprise, they did not accept the courier at this address for some reason. So, can anyone guide me on how am I supposed to send the fingerprints to them and if I am going wrong anywhere.

Any help and guidance in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.
Can you tell me which fingerprint card did you get attested? The MOFA officers refuse to attest the one Dubai police has uploaded on its website.

Hi guys,

I need your help (this is on behalf of a friend). He applied online for a UAE pcc in November 2018. The bureau emailed this to the wrong person. My friend informed the bureau and now this PCC application is showing as “resolution” . My friend has tried to call and email and he has just received a generic response. 6 months passed, still no PCc or change in status. My question is 1. Can he lodge a new application online given the issue? 2. Can he try and find someone in UAE to apply on his behalf?

Thanks in advance!

To be honest, you never know with the UAE police. I myself was trying to get the PCC for the last few weeks but was unable to. Some bureaucratic shenanigans with the ministries of the country I come from plus procedures and forms of Dubai police that even the UAE Embassy refuses to accept. At the end, all my effort was wasted and I was finally told to go to UAE in person and apply ( I do not have an Emirates ID)

My advice would be to ask your friend to visit UAE in person. I am doing the same in a few weeks.

HI Faheem

Do you know how it is if someone no longer has emirates id in their possession?

Hello Guys,

I would like to share my personal experience in getting police certificate for UAE. I never expected that the process is so simple and it costs 320 AED only. You should have your Emirates ID # with you which you held when you were a resident there ( doesn´t matter if it has expired)

1. Go to Dubai Police Website www.dubaipolice.gov.ae
2. Go to Services -> More
3. Click On Police Clearance Certificate
4. Click Access Service
5. Select 'Outside UAE' in 'I am located?' section
6. Fill out all other information and in "Do you have Emirates ID" section, select "Yes" and then input your
Emirates ID which you used to hold while you were a resident there.
7. Upload your Passport, Photo and Residency Page Copy
8. Click Next
9. Enter your Address (Can be your current address in any country)
10. Enter Payment details. Card being used should be a GCC card.

Thats it. One the payment is submitted, you will get certificate in your email in 1-2 days. They cross-check your information using Emirates ID number.

I hope it helps.

Thanks
Faheem

My husband who is living in Sri Lanka was requested to provide UAE police certificate today. He was a worker in Abhu Dhabi from 2015-2018. He is now back in Sri Lanka. How do we apply for police clearance? Can someone share the online link to apply please? Also I’ve read about the requirement to send fingerprints at the country he’s in now. How do we get that? Does he need to book an appointment online or go directly to to uae embassy in Sri Lanka? Please help

Go online and apply at the Dubai police website if you have the Emirates ID number (even if it is canceled) you can try and pay the fee with your non GCC credit card as well

Thank you. How about the fingerprints? The website says “If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics.” Does he have to go to the uae embassy in his country to get that?

Passport should be the current one...
Not sure what Dubai police page you are referring to but this is the page that open when I access the service https://www.dubaipolice.gov.ae/wps/portal/home/services/individualservicescontent/goodconductcertificatecatalog
