Hello , i wish someone can help me concerning the police certificate from Dubai.
I have left dubai over 23 years ago and applied for the pcc online, but i did not file the fingerprint since it is complicated to have to go through the police station verification and UAE embassy here.
Do you think giving them the old residence visa copy and my info is sufficient to issue the pcc.
Thankyou

It only comes as an electronic document by email.
PDF copy that you receive works absolutely.

Hi Faheem,

I have received my Police clearance certificate but there is a red stamp on it showing Please refer to the "UAE Diplomatic Mission Abroad or Customer Care of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation" Please explain what does that mean? do I need to take this certificate to the above-mentioned departments for verification or attestation? Please advise.

Thank you.
It’s on my pcc too, have you sorted out Salman what for it is.

Hi guys

I just applied for my pcc last night. I surrendered my Emirates ID when I left UAE last year. When I tried to enter my Emirates ID # it would not accept it. So I ended up writing no for my Emirates ID. However today I received an email from Dubai Police asking for my Emirates ID and Original Fingerprints. My problem is that my deadline to submit pcc is May 18 and if I start to obtain this fingerprint card I may not make it by the deadline. Also I was under the impression that if I am an Emirates ID holder I would not have to submit my fingerprints and just my Emirates ID will be sufficient. Please help I am really worried.

You should provide the EID# even if it is cancelled. contact them via Dubai Police chat and provide them the number and they should be able to update the records for your PCC application

Here is my story.

I am Nigerian. I heard that to apply for PCC, we need to download the fingerprint form, take it to a police officer in your current resident country who would attest the fingerprints by signing. After this process, you will take the form to the UAE Embassy to attest.

While filling my form only, i did not put anything for Emirates ID as i had lost mine and could not remember it. I was so surprised that after 2 days of my online application and payment, My PCC came and i saw my Emirates ID number on it. My 2 cents is that, Emirates ID hastened the process and when my data was put in the system, it generated the ID number. Therefore, there is no need for fingerprint and embassy runs.

I believe without an Emirates ID, you need to get your fingerprints validated. I also confirmed from a friend who didnt have an ID and she said she had to go to the entire process of finger print validation and getting it authorized at the embassy before sending the hardcopy to DXB.

I hope this helps. Regards.

Yes I have sent them my Emirates ID # and a copy of the card. They have acknowledged the receipt of this information and they are saying that they will get back to me with the results shortly. Does this mean that I do not need to submit the fngerprint card anymore and the results that they are referring to means the Police certifcate??

You don’t need to do the finger print if you have provided the EID#.
It should take them a couple of days and you will get the PCC by email
