Right, For the MP, did he just asked for the status of your application from IRCC or was there any push from MP to get things done quickly? I will go see my MP next week so Just want to know what to ask for coz so far with my experience they only ask for the status of the application.
Yes as far as I know, MPs just ask for status. They can't really expedite things. I basically just sent an email to my MP saying that it's been over 12 months and after pre-arrival and re-medical the BGC still not started. I asked if she can inquire and see what's going on. She said she will and usually get a response within 2 to 5 days. Today is the 3rd day and I haven't heard back from MP yet.

LVO may have just processed my app on their own or maybe MP inquiry 'woke them up'. Not really sure.

That's bad, I don't understand why all the 2018 earlier applicants are being ignored by them. Coz i see all the application after April 2018 are pretty much done with the processes. I did my re medical, submitted my PC recently on 9th May so i guess It will take months again to hear back from them. :/ such a frustrating experience it is. There is an option about complainting to IRCC but not sure if it would risk the whole thing. These guys genuinely don't care about anything.
My wife is May 3rd applicant. They just started working on her application after my local MP's office called them. They had a few reservations on our relationship which were resolved once I voluntarily sent pictures and passport scans from my recent trip to Pakistan. My MP's office said that it is a lot fastr of a response if supporting documents are sent through their office. They have a lot of access to our applications.

You sent the scans without them asking?

Whats your feeling about your own DM? :p
By looking at your signature, I guess they must have started your bgc on 18 April when they asked for your schedule A and travel history, it just didn't show in your GC key. When they have finally finished your bgc, they just changed your status to “we start processing your bgc” for one day and made the final decision. However, don't know if it was just your time or your MP's inquiry pushed it.

Actually, after I uploaded Schedule A and Travel History, GCKey stayed at 'The documents you provided have been uploaded'. I was waiting for it to change to 'We are reviewing the documents you provided' but it wasn't. On May 14, I ordered GCMS notes again. The very next day, it changed to 'We are reviewing the documents you provided'. I contacted my MP last Thursday and BGC started yesterday.

I have seen many people whose BGC got done in one day. I always wondered if they can really get BGC done in 1 day. Either way, I'm not complaining! :)

Well not really. I emailed them to see if I could send them an update on the file. They replied back a month later saying, We encourage you to send us any and all updates as they happen. So I sent the scans of the entry/exit stamps on the passport, boarding pass scans. Then a week later I sent them more whatsapp chat records and pics that we took on my trip. Then a few weeks later I sent them pics of the financial support docs, e.g. moneygram, western Union, bank transfers or any app that transfers money across the globe. I would suggest sending updates as they happen, and try to become a squeaking wheel as the time approaches the 1 year mark. Go to your local MP's office and explain what is happening and show them that there has been no activity on the case for a long period of time, using notes on the file. Just a suggestion
