Students for September 2019 intake

Hello Everyone,

I submitted my application( with passport) and biometrics (Paper Based at VFS Abu Dhabi) on 24-Apr-19.
Plus, I don’t need to submit a medical report.
Received Biometric validity letter on 21-May-19.
On 23-May-19 I received an email that says :

“We would like to inform you that your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office, on 23 May 2019 to the Canada Visa Application Centre.”

I linked my account online on 21-May-19 and there is no update yet and my status is still “Submitted” and eligibility and background check is still in progress.

So, why are they returning my passport if still there is no update and my status is still processing and no decision have been made. I am really confused and worried, please if anyone can clarify things let me know. Thank you.

Yes, I have also applied on 30th April, got Student Acknowledgement letter on 14th May and now status showing as eligibility check & processing background check. When checking my GC account, it is showing biometrics date and its validity date also but I didn't get any biometric validation letter. Does this letter come before visa approval ?

Yes, Since the same day when linked my application to an online CIC account (14th MAY), it is showing that I have passed medical, But there is no change in status after that.

Do you have your tracking number? when is it arriving?

Yes I have a tracking number and it shows the same message. I contacted VFS they told me my passport will arrive anytime next week, but I have no clue what this message means without a decision.

Hi guys,
- 26/04: I applied for SDS at VFS office in Vietnam and took Biometrics there on the same date. I also submitted to VFS the letter from the clinic where I took medical tests.
- 29/04: is under process at the IRCC Office (email notification from VFS).
- 21/05: I linked paper application to online application and here are the status showed till now:
- Eligibility: "Your application is in progress...we will send you message when we start reviewing your eligibility."
- Medical: "We are reviewing..."
- Biometrics: "We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes."
- Background: "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

Please someone helps to tell me if they started reviewing my application as it's one month till now. I saw you guys mentioned about student acknowledgement letter and correspondent letter, what are they actually? I haven't had any and now get more panic.
Btw I apply for MEd at University of Victoria, B.C.

I applied on 5th april. Medical passed on 6th may. After that no update.
How much time did it take in your case for correspondence letter after medical clearance?
