No, it has to be translated
Is it ok if details are Hand Written ?

It is all stamped and a official document from government of Punjab. Everything is printed but the details are hand written.

I have heard from some one that hand written birth certificates are not accepted by IRCC.

Thanks for the reply

Hey Hallieliu - sorry to hear that. So, same thing, sort of, happened with me too. Agent was not able to locate anything based on my UCI but they eventually did using the 'Payment Receipt' number. You may want to give it a shot?
Application's story is same as others - 'Prospective stage with no visibility on the timelines'
Thank you, Harry!

I just called IRCC and they confirmed they have received my application. They said I do not see any status (ecas) etc because they have not yet validated whether my application is COMPLETE. So all those who see ecas are safe in terms of completeness of application and the rest of us with "temporary" file numbers are still under validation it seems which is bit worrying

People create lot of rumors and panic. Please don't worry!
An official document is a document. That's it. and IRCC very well knows that in 1970s and 1980s, no one was using computer in government offices (at least in India). And most of the sponsors are born in these years probably.
IRCC only cares if the document is understandable by them. So they insist to translate if it's not in English or French.
Even if your document is in bilingual and one of the languages is English/French, it's fine.
No need to notarize. No need to translate. IRCC doesn't intend to screw you through the process.

Hi friends, I am little challenge for 2 points. Please help

  1. IMM5768e
    1. Point#11 - Do I need to mention about the spouse name if I have sponsored her previously(we applied the PR together where I was the principal applicant) and included in section 3.B.i)
  2. IMM0008end_2d
    1. Point#10 : Current country of residence :: My parents are currently visiting and with me, here in Canada on Visitor VISA. What should I mention here as current country of residence?

This is unfortunately absolutely incorrect. Check deerestlovelybear timeline (row 22) in the tracker below. He received his Invitation on April 26th (not April 24th) and his application is already "In Process"... BTW app over ~26k applicants have been invited, this has been discussed at length in earlier posts in this forum.
in process does not means he will be issued visa by overriding the first ones. This is inside info and thats why they have the barcode in place

I am dealing with same issue, i sponsored my wife so wrote her name under Question Number 9.

Now Question 11 is asking for name again. ( I spoke to agent this morning and he explained that I have to write name in Question 11 as she is not cosigning regardless of I have written her name in question 9.)

MM 5768 - if spouse is not co-signer do i need to fill below details ?

Question 15

Your spouse’s/common-law partner’s current situation. Check the appropriate box to indicate if your spouse/common-law partner is:

  • Unemployed
  • Employed
  • Self- employed.
If your spouse/common-law partner is unemployed, provide details in the space provided.

Question 16
The co-signer must check “Yes”, write their SIN number and sign the statement if he or she gives us consent to collect their SIN to ask for their income tax information from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the three years immediately before the date of the application. Your co-signer’s tax information will be used to determine if you meet the minimum necessary income requirements (Low-Income-Cut-Off plus 30%) to sponsor a parent or grandparent.

If your co-signer does not give us consent to collect his or her Social Insurance Number, he or she must check “No” and complete the appropriate form Income Sources for the Sponsorship of Parents and Grandparents and provide the supporting documents listed in Part B of the Document Checklist.

Question 17
Provide your co-signer’s employment history, including, periods of unemployment for the last THREEconsecutive taxation years preceding your application.

Note: Make sure that you do not leave any gaps in time.
