My husband is planning to apply for parents sponsorship in 2020 and I will be his co-signer. I will be on Maternity leave from September 2019. That means we might not meet income eligibility for year 2019. And if we get selected can we write a letter to immigration Canada that I am on maternity leave? Would that be acceptable? Do you think we will be eligible for parents sponsorship? Please someone respond thank you!

Maternity EI earnings are considered income.
If you don’t meet the minimum with EI, then you’re not eligible.

Hello guys I have some questions. Please answer them if you can.
I want to invite my mother from India here.

1) without my absence how do i sign or attest translation my birth certificate where only my fathers name is written?
2) My brother can do that but still is my sign necessary on that?
3) Does my mom need to provide translation of death certificate also of my father?
4) Can i sponsor my younger brother but he is older than 21 years old where it is asked "whether accompanying or not" ?
5) If i can not sponsor grandchild why the relationship option is still there in dropdown?
4) You cannot support your younger brother older than 21 unless he’s a physical or mental disability and is dependant of your parents. If that’s the case, you’ll have to prove he’s a legit dependant and that he’s not a burden to the health system.
You don’t include him in the application if he’s not dependant, only add his info on additional family info form.

5) that’s a generic form, it’s not only for this program

No, You can't submit if they returned your application. Not sure about barcode though.

I have read a lot of people are discussing the family size issue in EOI vs family size on the actual forms. I am confused as to what was required.
My understanding is as follows:

  • EOI: family size should be with parents included
  • Forms: family size should be with parents included for all three year 2016, 2017 and 2018
Please correct me if my understanding is wrong

Oh no I put it below. hope they dont return it back
Calm down... they won't return the file for such a small mistake. Especially since it was not mentioned anywhere in the Checklist or the invitation mail. The only place it was mentioned was in the instructions guide, which a lot of us (including myself) didn't refer.

Issue is with family unit in EOI which was taken as family size by some members.
What you saying is all correct

Looking at the volume of application this year seems like we'll have to wait for longer time for ECAS update
I know that. That’s why I said I am still calm because that will take time. The moment I got the invitation I am so thrilled and positive because finally I got the chance. And now all I need to do is to patiently wait what will be the next thing to do.
I am reading the posts here and I can’t stand those who are whining and complaining. I know they feel anxious and worried but they got the chance already then yet it is not enough. I feel bad to those who didn’t got the chance to fill up the Interest to Apply form. Then just waiting for the ECAS updates upsets them. I’m like come on, you know what I mean.

Thank you for your reply! That means my EI income and my husband’s income should meet minimum requirement to be eligible?
