can someone please help me :( I am that unfortunate CEC applicant from September 2018 still waiting on PPR. Hit my 8th month today. I ordered a GCMS note on March. It says review required for eligibility. My case analyst had some doubts with my work experience. This happened way before in December 2018 and they haven't asked me for any additional documents since then. I came to knew it from my GCMS note. don't know why they are not asking any ADR. anyways i submitted and updated reference letter from my employer via webform. CIC call agent confirmed that they received the doc. My status remains unchanged for months and my application seems to be inactive. They told me that my application is at CPC sydney Novascotia. Call agent replied that everything good so far and they do not need any further documents from me. All I need is to WAIT!!.. I am ready to wait if I could atleast see a slightest progress in my app. My work permit is expiring this August 2019. So I am freaking out. Please some one help me with your guidance. My CIC profile says

Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: The additional documents you provided have been uploaded.
Interview :You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Please help Counting on you guys :(
Considering ordering the notes again

Dear, I understand what you feel, I had absolutely same desperate feeling just yesterday, but today I received PPR! Literally it simply arrived into my mailbox.

There was no movement, just silence. Moreover, I have never received my GCMS notes, although I had ordered them TWO months ago! So I was almost destroyed by the fact that I knew nothing and was like blind.

My timeline:
AOR September 6
FSW-O
Medical passed 13 Oct
Biometrics request, RPRF request-13Oct
IP2 -13Oct.

Since then the longest wait with NO update and NO Gcms notes. Called twice, was told that eligibility was met, waiting for an officer to review my file, background checks were ongoing.

Ghost update -April 18
PPR-several hours ago, May 13, after 8 months and one week of wait.

I will pray that all of you guys get PPRs soon. It is unbelievably exhausting trip, please do not lose hope!

Hi! Even my AOR is dated Sep 22, 2018 with medicals and RPRF all done prior to submitting the application. It says that you passed the medical exam and that no additional documents are required. I raised query using the "web form" option and I received their reply that the application is "still in process". Once again, after gap of couple weeks, I raised the same query, to which I received the same reply. Around a week more and it'll be 8 long, long months until I have not heard anything.

No offence but, other than waiting forever in the dark for the PPR email, please let me know is there anything I can do? And in my case, the medicals and RPRF are already done, so I'm not sure what would constitute IP1, IP2 or MEP- please let me know what do these terms signify/ indicate and where/ how can I get to know the respective dates?

Now would be a good time to apply for a BOWP
Thank you for the reply. I am going to apply for BOWP. Is there any chance for refusal of the application. I learned from some other forums that they refuse bowp and reject application when they receive it. Did you get any updates on your bowp application. Honestly I am losing trust in this system.

Unfortunately, we cannot do anything.
My application is in Sidney, Nova Scotia as well and my last update regarding eligibility was Review Required, as I was told by the agent, not because anything is wrong but a senior officer needs to see it and decide whether to approve or ask for ADR.
I do understand you, but the only thing we cando just wait or call them biweekly. This is what I do. Nova Scotia is extremely slow. I am hoping every day to receive an email from cic.
Did you order for a gcms note. You can see a note from the case analyst saying the reason why they need a review. It might help

I see you have ordered your GCMS notes, look for "R10:OK" in those notes, it is one of the earliest checks IRRC does on a file and based on your AOR that would have been completed by now. Once your "R10:OK" you should have no issues getting the BOWP.

We are talking about security here. I know for a sure fact that my application is being delayed due to discrimination. That’s it. Many pakistanis go through comprehensive SS. It is surely not due to backlog. Not everything is due to backlog.
If you think Discrimination in Canada, then its better to withdraw your file, why are you coming in Canada???
We are in Canada and in our case also Security officer is also taking long time...

Don't think it's discrimination. I am from Ukraine Inland applicant: studied in Canada as well, AOR Sept. 30th -- walking towards my 8th month. Ordered GCMS notes on March 27th - no response.
Having the same question every day: why? But I am sure in Canada they are not discriminating.
You are right beregszasz... but some people can't understand these things.

My work permit will expire in july and I am planning to apply in mid of july.

Why you want to apply it rightnow? Might be you will get your PPR this month or next month. In my opinion you should wait... you have enough time.
