Question for all sponsors preparing the application for their parents.
1. Do we need to submit Use of Representative form? (With sponsor as the Representative)
2. Section D : Your declaration needs the signature of the Principal applicant and accompanying spouse - both parents in this case. Is that correct?

Hello friends
I got invitation from IRCC for family sponsorship of my parents in 2019..
However, heres some context :
1) I live in Montreal, Quebec and I have already applied for CSQ undertaking application for my parents (Showing the quebec govt. as I'm single)
2) I'll submit my IRCC application soon (as the CSQ info will be transmitted by govt. of quebec from their side to the fedral govt.) - but i'll be getting married AFTER submitting this application..

By the time i marry - I'll definitely get the parents CSQ undertaking approved - but my question is - Do i have to notify Govt. Of Quebec of my change in maritial status ? and then reapply for a new CSQ undertaking application with the correct family size ? or just directly notify IRCC via the web form about the change - bypassing the quebec govt. step ?
Please guide me on this

My mother's passport got no last name. How do i proceed with that? Its common Indian/Punjabi problem . Any body who is /was venturing in the same problem, Please reply. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry to tell you that you have made a huge mistake, how in the world did you send the Quebec undertaking without the second item on the checklist??????? Just a reminder, this is the item:
Preuve de votre admissibilité comme personne qui parraine :
• Lettre ou courriel récent de Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada contenant :
– la confirmation que vous avez satisfait aux conditions d’admissibilité pour parrainer et vous invitant à déposer une demande d’engagement auprès du ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion;

This letter comes from the federal government, it is NOT the invitation to apply, the Quebec process is AFTER the federal agent tells you to apply for the provincial one, so send the federal application when you can, don't worry about Quebec yet...
Sorry to say this but I'm 100% sure that you are going to get the package you sent to Quebec back

My application was received on May 2nd by CIC based on info i received from canada express post. But I do not see any update on ECAS. I read on this forum that others have got received status/processing status on ECAS. Worried!

Don’t worry about this, it seems that the sorting process is very random, mine got received on April 26th, literally the first possible day that an application could be received and I cannot see anything on ECAS. It’s unfair of course but we have no control over this
As it happens in all IRCC processes, some people get a diligent agent some get a lazy one, some finish in 6 months some take the full 24 months, that’s how they balance the processing times

Hello
I have attached the email invitation letter from IRCC for the undertaking application - as without it I wouldn’t be eligible to apply for undertaking application :)

I just now checked in the official form checklist - attaching invitation letter from IRCC also works

Also to confirm this - the ircc form IMM0008 clearly asks sponsored person (my father in this case) - when did he appled for CSQ or does he have a CSQ number - which implies that i had to apply for CSQ before submitting the IRCC application
