Hello All,
I want to thank you guys for sharing your experiences. I have been following this page for a while now and comparing everyone’s timeline to ours and estimate when my wife would possibly get her visa. First of all, before asking my question, I would like to share our timeline:
PA: Iran
Application received - October 22, 2019
Acknowledged: Jan 23, 2019
Biometric payment form: February 8, 2019
Medical request: February 13, 2019
Met the requirement for eligibility as a sponsor: February 15, 2019
Biometric request: February 21, 2019
Application Forwarded to Ankara: February 22, 2019
Background check started: February 28, 2019
We didn't hear anything until last Wednesday when my wife checked the online tool and saw this update:
We sent you correspondence on May 1, 2019. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
I contacted our lawyer the next day and asked if they have received anything, they said no, and gave me a half ass answer that updates on the website is always faster, and it would take a couple of days before we receive the email. I asked them to give me access to gckey so I can check myself. They said that they have a problem with the portal and it doesn't allow them to link the application or grant access to clients fully; therefore they cannot see any detail until they receive the correspondence. They said they had contacted IRCC several times regarding this issue, but it was to no avail. So here is my question, Is that the PPR? Or they actually require additional information? When we call the inside Canada phone number, the automated recording says no interview required, we do not need additinal document, we are proccing background check.

Normally you receive pre-arrival services letter before PPR. It could be request for additional documents that VO requires to process your application. Your immigration lawyer will soon receive the correspondence (if any) and you will get to know more.

I have read the replies here, some applicants did not receive a pre-arrival letter at all.

Hi. It could be PPR or Additional Document Request. From what I've seen so far, Ankara sends out ADRs in a month from the start of the processing. So fingers crossed. FYI, my lawyer gave me a same answer few weeks ago. Looks like they are not able to link client cases to GcKey accounts.

Have you tried emailing Ankara and explaining the situation? or waiting online till you can talk to a officer in Sydney. They have full access to your info.
to my knowledge, what the automated recording has said to you are lines of your Gckey info, which wont be updated at this stage, till the visa is issued. I wish other guys here correct me if I am wrong.

I was told that even if you’re able to talk to them directly over the phone or live chat, they will only tell you what you can see through online tool. If I don’t hear anything from the lawyer by Monday, I will call them directly. Regarding the recording, right before this new development it was saying no additional documents required, then it changed to additional documents required we will send you a letter or email. Everything else is the same, such as no interview and we are conducting a background check.

Thank you, but how do you get to the automated part. I press 2-1-1-0 and it takes me to a live agent. I want to just listen to the recording.
try: 1 + 1 + 2 + 3 + Application #+ 1 + year of PA's Birth + 1 + 1

Also, I'm calling from Canada, maybe that has something to do with that too.
