Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,

I am in same situation as you. Did your PCC from Pakistan since Nov 2007 to Mar 2014 worked? or did you made your PCC from pakistan since Nov 2007 till your last visit to Pakistan? Although you are currently working in UAE.

Appreciate your help.
PCC shall be from :
-- since you turned 18 until the last exit date from Pakistan.
.. Actually the Police staff will ask for the copy of exit stamp on passport.
.. Your blood relative (Father, mother, brother, sister) will be applying it on your behalf in your absence.

Good Luck

Let me clarify this matter for most of you. I did a lot of homework on this, and my PCC has been accepted by CIC.

What matters is that you have your period in Pakistan covered from the age of 18. If you have lived in Karachi, and gone to Lahore for studies, or for work, but your permanent address was still Karachi, a PCC from Karachi suffices.

If you have moved to Lahore or any other part of the country permanently, and do NOT have an address back home eg. in Karachi anymore, then you need a PCC from Lahore as well.

Basically, temporary addresses aren’t a concern. The only concern is where our permanent residence is and whether you have covered each and everyday from the age of 18 till when you were in Pakistan.

Also, IMPORTANT NOTE. If you are residing abroad, come to visit Pakistan, say for 2 weeks, those 2 weeks NEED to be included in the PCC for Pakistan. Everyday you spent in Pakistan according to your stamps and file need to be covered.

Hope this helps.

I am not an active member on this forum so might not be able to get back in case you replied to this.

Wish you all the very best.
Thank you, dude, stay blessed wherever you are. This is very helpful and I hope this works in my case as well.

Salam guys,

What to do in this case please.
City A (on ID card, mentioned as permanent and temporary address) lived from birth to 2006
City B: lived from 2006 - 2013 for education and job.
In 2013 moved to middle east and still living in middle east. On vocations visiting City A.

Distance between City A and B is 180KM. Should i mention that i lived only in City A and get PCC for City A only.

Will there be any issue or misrepresentation , please advise .

Hey, I wanted to clarify something. I left my home country in September 2015, with my last visit for almost two weeks in January 2018. From your comment, I understand that I need it from my 18th birthday to January 2018 (last visit), would that be correct, even though I reside in Canada since September 2015, and only visited in 2018?

The form also asks for a total period at the above address, what should I write there? If I count till January, that would be incorrect, no? As I have lived in Canada since 2015? What to do?

Actually I think or at least it appears that the PCC is required from the time when one stayed for six months or more, not for shorter visits. Thus, it has to be from the 18th birthday to your last departure date i.e. when you left it to reside in Canada, unless you went back and stayed for 6 months or more. Am I getting it right?

I am asking this because the form and certificate only has an aggregate of total years stayed at the pertinent address, it does not include any specific duration for any visits.

Source (CIC page):

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/apply-permanent-residence/police-certificates.html

For any other country

For any other country, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row.

Some countries put expiry dates on their police certificates. If you have a police certificate that expired, include it. We’ll accept it if:

  • it was issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row
  • it is not for the country where you currently live
An officer may ask for a new one later on.

EDIT: I can see some of you got it for specific visits too, how so? Did your form allow for such dates?

No, the case of the country of your citizenship is different. I posted this to your question in the other thread.

Yes, your last visit to Pakistan should be included. You are a pakistani national aren't you? You also have a permanent residence in Pakistan should you choose to exit the country that you are currently residing in? So yes, you have to have a PCC including your January visit.

Your Pakistan address should include the period from 2015-2018 since that was also your permanent residence along with the place where you were residing in Canada

Thank you!!!! I have been searching for an answer to this query for a while.

Yes, that would be accurate, I am from Pakistan, residing in Canada for a couple of years.

1- The police form I have from earlier, has a section for a current address and a previous address. What should these be? I lived at one from birth to age 5, and age 5-till the time I left. Or by current address, they mean my Canadian address?

2- Also, the certificate would state from (dated when I was age 5) to January 2018, would this be fine? Or is it necessary to be from when I was 18 only?

3- The form also asks for total number of years stayed, should this be counted till 2015 or 2018?

Thank you for your help!!!!!!!!

Can anyone help me on this;

I have lived in 4 different addresses in karachi since i turned 18. Do i have to get different PCC's for all 5 residences, as the sample PCC i have seen online covers the period of the residence you have stayed, mentioning the dates..

Or i can get a PCC in which all the different addresses will be mentioned..

get the PCC with the one that has your permanent address on it (i.e. the one that is on your ID card permanent address section).

It is probably just simpler to get PCC with one address covering your whole stay, especially if you are in the same city. Just get the one with your permanent address (Since any FIR shows up with the permanent address and NIC number I believe).

Use the permanent address on your nic. If you've had permanent address changed on your I'd card every time then get all those addresses.. otherwise just use one.

Thanks for your response!

And on the online application, should i tell them all the addresses I have lived at or just mention the permanent address as it is on the CNIC?

Have only had one permanent address on the CNIC and one temporary address. This one is different because I changed my CNIC after my wedding and moved in with my spouse
