Hello! I was reading the group so then I decided to post my case and hopefully get some help or good advices.

I came to Canada on Aug 2017 under IEC working holiday visa. So after my year, I switched to a visitor record visa on August 2018 and I got 6 months. After that period I applied again, for an extension of my visitor Visa, during the last day of it, and this time I got it rejected 10 days after my application, with a refusal letter which said something like the officer wasn't satisfied and my name wasn't on my bank account information that I was thrully honest or accurate I don't remember exactly, and then you have to leave Canada inmediatly", so I freaked out, and I started to ask many people, and I found the "restoration status", and I am within my 90 days after my refusal letter or my expiration date of my Visa. So I am planning on apply for my restoration visa, and I have some doubt , 1 is it ok that I am doing the restoration at this time?
2 is it better online or on paper
3 what about the possibility of getting a rejection again ?
4 should I just leave the country?
Thank you very much

Yes, you can apply for restoration. However, your chances aren't that high since you have already stayed in Canada for almost two years and you don't appear to be a visitor.

Why do you want to stay in Canada? Are you working here? Do you want to get a PR?

If you are looking to immigrate to Canada, it may be better to leave and then use either the CEC, FSW, or FST programs to come back as a PR.

As above , your “ visit “ is turning close too 2 years old . You have to post more information on why you want to extend your “ visit “, longer

If you got a letter saying that you had not been truthful, you may have been banned from applying for status in any event.

Have you misrepresented in any applications? What did the letter say?

As others have said, your two year "visit" is really not a "visit" any longer. You are most likely to be refused.

But right now, I would like to get some good advices to know how to make a good restoration of my visa
I am from Chile, graduated as a dentist (not hygienist).

If your refusal letter stated that you have to leave Canada immediately then you are required to leave.

is it better online or on paper ...processing time for online application is less (processed much faster). Otherwise it does not guarantee approval.

what about the possibility of getting a rejection again ? ....No one can tell you for sure. You should address reasons for refusal of the visitor extension (you mentioned something to do with your bank account holding a different name, honesty? Was it a misrepresentation? You need to go through the letter and see what exactly was stated in it, figure out if you can actually address it in your application to restore status. Figure out what would be your reason to request restoration of your status (is it a sound reason that can actually convince the officer processing your application?). Your boyfriend's case is not yours, and thus you should not expect your application to be treated as his was.

4 should I just leave the country?...No one can make this decision for you

Perhaps you can leave Canada and come back after a year. And while you are back at you home country, you can try to look into other immigration programs that you qualify for.

1. As long as you are within the 90 days, you can apply.

2. Doesn't matter.

3. You have a high chance of refusal, as you have already had an extension refused and it appears you are trying to live in Canada as a visitor.

4. Your decision.

Did the letter you got say that your application was refused because you were untruthful or misrepresented facts? If so, you may not be able to apply, you may have been banned. Read that letter very carefully.

Eventually he’ll be told to leave as well. And as well, I highly doubt his “ big complaint “, had any barring what so ever on his extension, he’s a foreign national , his visa is a privilege, not a right to be in Canada, as is yours . Only difference is you’ve been told to leave , and now it appears you want to push the envelope
Go ahead and apply if that’s what you want , however you haven’t stated any reason why you want to stay.

Thank you for your answers.. so I have one day left to so the restoration status, with an extension refused, should I do it ? Paying 300 bucks, ask just for one month till I can leave? ... The only reason why I'm still here is bc of friends and my boyfriend that's it. I am a dentist in my country, and I can show that I can stay here quietly (talking about money).. what do you think about my situation? Even tho, my letter said : you need to leave the country immediately and it didn't mention I can restoration my status .. I got a refusal letter bc they said I showed 4000 but this was not an official document.
