@ayman_dayem Most applicants have to send them again because photos cannot be older than 6 months. That's why they want them dated on the back. Either way, make sure you send them 2 now for the COPR and also provide 2 for the travel document (I assume it is 2 - double-check this)
Good luck! :)

@Agvdrc Shouldn't delay you too much, just pay the fee, book biometric appt asap and you are good to go. Pre-arrival is next! :)

Finally got our Biometric Request! I didn't realize when I submitted that this needed to be done...this obviously delays us slightly, I'm sure we would have received the request back in February when we instead got the biometric fee payment request.

Regardless, things are moving, and I'm sure once we complete this, the next thing will be the pre-arrival email.

Update: we got a request for evidence of intention to establish in Canada today. I've heard this is not uncommon for citizens living outside the country so I'm trying not to worry, though I have to admit I would rather it was just PPR and not an additional request that might delay us further. Any movement is good movement though I guess! :D Fingers crossed that the rest of you waiting with me just get a straightforward DM very soon!

Did not you provide evidence at the time of applying? or are they asking more evidence?

Oh no, I definitely was very thorough in the original application and sent every single thing I could think of, including a 3-page cover document explaining my reasoning and my plans, with subheadings for each aspect. The amount of work I put in up front is what makes this request slightly disappointing to get now, but I tend to think (hope) that it's standard practice for many VOs when the sponsor is living abroad, and is ultimately something more like a request for an "update" on those plans. We don't actually have a ton of new things to update them with, apart from the one big exception that we do now have a (one-way!) flight booked for myself, my husband, and our dog! :D I think mostly I was just surprised to get this after the pre-arrival letter, but, again, hopefully this just means this is the very last step before we are approved.... o_O

Of course I can only speak for myself here:
We handed our application in in May 2018. At that time it said the approximate processing time would be 12 months.
A decision was made January 2019, so after 8 months. So in our case VO was fairly quick.

Are you also going through Vienna? It could depend on the VO, but it sounds like it's a fairly standard request these days when the sponsor is living abroad, so I would at least mentally prepare for how you'll respond. I would try not to stress too much though -- I think the worst that could happen is you just have to move to Canada a little early and say the proof is that I already live here! (Telling myself this as much as you ;):))

I guess that depends on how you define fast or slow. Relative to other VOs it's pretty fast overall, but of course it always depends on the individual case. Look at my signature or @WYWH's, for example, to get an idea.
