I’ve bought property in Montreal. We had a very good agent, saw what we liked and bought it. Mortgage down payment was higher but the agent put us in touch with the right banks and insurance people and it was smooth sailing. We pay all our taxes on line, we visit whenever we can and it has worked out well for us. The property has already gone up in price so even if we sell, we’ll walk away with more. I have no regrets about buying a place, it’s grounded me more there, I’ve met a lot of people and learnt a lot of things.
The property is not in downtown but in an English speaking suburban area and we love it. My husband has our hydro Quebec ( electric ) and energir ( gas ) accounts also done on line so we pay all our bills electronically. We have Bell WiFi and security so we know every time someone calls us or even rings our doorbell. We can see and talk to them electronically in real time. It has worked out well for us mashaAllah. Now just waiting for the immigration to go through..we have done what we can.
Dear Scheherazade:- that good you get Visa to Montreal from first time ,,, for me when applied for interview visa ,,, the officer reject my application ,,, and I apply before 3 time to get Visa for Canada all get reject ,,, if I need buy house for sure I need to see the house I buy it ,,, so I check with my lawyer as now I already get CSQ ,,, I can apply for travel visa ,,, my Lawyer said as before my application refuse and reject 3 time there is a big chance to get refuse again with no French language knowledge even I already CSQ holder,,, in case my application not reject before it’s very easy to get new travel visa . So I don’t know what is the use for CSQ in this period of life .

I would not buy a house In or around city centre. It is too congested and expensive. North and South Montréal is more French speaking as is East. But West Island is very anglophone and it’s easier to get around there. Plus it is largely Homes as compared to centre ville which is mostly condos. Westmount is also very central and English speaking but very very expensive. There are also other pockets of areas such as little India etc where you can get homes. It’s all comes down to what your requirement is. I liked Westmount but just fell in love with the openness of West Island. The area I’ve chosen is Dollard Des ormeaux. It’s a beautiful locality and has everything I need. But you will need to come here, look around, see homes in different areas and then decide what you want. It’s a big decision and you will need to see everything before you make a decision.
When we applied for our TRV we wrote a cover letter which said that we had csq, we wanted to go to Montreal to check out homes and businesses. We also added copies of our csq’s in the application package. Did you try add that in your application? Hoping the best for you dear Laith, you are such a kind soul, I hope that your processing is done soon.

Guys start applying for GCMS notes every three months or so. Not only will you get a regular update but an agent has to physically handle your file to access and release your notes. Ask your agents..they can apply on your behalf. It costs CAD 5/- only to do so. You receive them in 30 days, if you don’t you can send a reminder. Also ask your agent to send a CSE ( case specific enquiry ) asking how far along your application has come. They won’t say exactly where but you will find out your officers initials and the point where your file is at.

In my opinion you should apply as a complete family for the visa . Biometric requirements would be according to the rules as applicable , I guess all will require same but maybe if children are below certain age - may be exempted . Kindly check on this . Ensure to produce the CSQ copy , as also the return air tickets ,while applying for visa . Iam sure this time you will not face any difficulty whatsoever . All the best

Children under 13 don’t require to give biometrics.
Tickets r not important, the most important thing is the explanation letter. In which u must make yr intention very clear, explain to officer the solid reason why he would grant u visa.
It’s always very difficult to convince officer that u and yr family will return after yr visit. Specially after u got CSQ.
So the reason has to be very solid.
My family visit visa got rejected 3 times before CSQ.

Difficult but not impossible.
Best of luck.

Plz guide which areas will be best for Muslim families, I have seen talon jalan area, lots of Muslims and pakistani families live in that area. But that looks like little old buildings. Any areas with little modern looks. Like better communities, better education.
Thx

dear Ash1969 :- before I do everything but my applied all time rejected by Visa officer they main reason that officer thought I will stay in Canada and not return to China ( officer actually 100% wrong ) but how can make officer believe I will return to China ? If I write to officer I need buy house he will 100% think I will not return as my applied for visa 3 times rejected,,, So is there anyone idea how to prove and make officer believe I will return to China ?
