It's not always an Email! There have been people who have gotten the PPR as updates on their account.
OH WOW, did they also get an email about the update in their account as well?

I was told it might help if writing a letter to MP asking for help regarding accelerating the application. Since my case has been stuck at Montreal for 5 months and still in the stage of reviewing eligibility, I wonder if I should write a letter to MP that they can help push my case? Not sure if it works. Can anyone give any suggestions? Thanks!

Well, you might want to try, there is no harm in that. My first application was denied for one useless reason and I sort the help of the MP's office. They did contact them and at the end asked me to reapply that they will follow up. They have been following up actually because once in a while they will email me that they spoke to CIC and my application is still in progress. And once I got my GCMs and saw that they have been inquiring however on the part of hastening the process, I really doubt because my AOR is August 21st and as at now, no update, in fact, I spoke to CIC yesterday and was told they have not started my eligibility after 7.5months, re-submission for that matter with same documents and the extras to address the concern they raised in the previous application. My only hope is that the MP's office said that before any decision is made, they will be contacted in case they require additional document rather than the outright refusal without procedural fairness like in the previous one. All the best, Montreal is so annoying and I don't even know what they hold against the inlanders.

Question to all who got ppr. Does it come by email or just a letter in cic account? Or both, if both which one happens first? Just trying to set my expectations.
It came to my cic account just like you received acknowledge of receipt when we submit pr application.

Wow, this is something. I was afraid to see a timeline like that. It means that it's not impossible to not have the assessment started even after 6 months

It doesn't mean anything. You have to take a look at your gcms notes to see what's going on.
In my case criminality was in progress and eligibility was not started though the analyst already analized my case (appears met, review required).
Only after two months eligibility status changed from "not started" to "review required".
Those statuses suck. And if you just call the agent, he will tell you that your eligibility is not started when in reality your case is waiting in the queue for a review by the officer.

Hi all,

I got my GCMS notes today one month after I ordered it. I had a ghost update on 2/28 and below is my status

Eligibility : Passed
Criminality: Passed
Medical: Passed
Final: Approved

I also see Officer's comments at the bottom of the notes that say my application was approved on 2/28 But till date none of the three CIC officers that I talked to said the word "approved" which is strange considering that some officers directly told some people on this thread that their application was approved. In response to the latest CSE that I raised a few days ago, I got a reply that my application was still in process.

I also noticed that my secondary office changed from Centralized intake Office to Vancouver Immigration. So does this mean they are trying to find a date for landing interview in Vancouver and hence the delay in the final PPR email? I'm based in Vancouver.

July 24th AOR, FSW-Inland

Thanks
