If you dont mind the IELTS fees and you are ready, dont wait till May end. Give it now. CBT results will be out in 5-7 days. 448 will give you a good chance for ITA in the next 2 draws. 442 will be hard.
I dont expect the cutoff to shoot up by may end but time seems to be of the essence, dont wait if you can.
Is the draw announced tomorrow (Wednesday)? And what time is it usually announced?
My profile has been in the pool for a week or so, but I updated my results today and increased my score. Would it be counted in this pool?

Yes, Actually my wife is giving IELTS on coming 11th, I am waiting for her score.. If she can add 6~8 points then it should be good. But she is really struggling with IELTS. So if she is unable to add any points then I will start preparation from May 1st and give attempts.
Yes computer based test is easy for people from IT background or may be someone who is using computer on daily basis.
(Note: If you are not friendly with computer keyboard and mouse; then it is waste of time)
I am using computer at job for last 5 years, so it was very comfortable for me. Also the issue of my bad handwriting with paper based test was no longer there in computer based test.
I gave 5 attempts of paper based and every time got 6.5 in writing. Then gave first computer based test on 24th March and got result as below:
L - 8
S/R/W - 7.5
Earlier CRS score was 422 and now bingo at 483.
Finally, its the Draw-day guys! This waiting period of two weeks seemed to be like ages! The predictions for today's draw are: 449/450 with 3350 ITAs. If there is an increase in the ITAs, the score can further drop to 446/447 with 3900 ITAs. Let's see whichever of these, become true!
In particular, We all, are here to make the assumptions only, but can't be certain about it. So, don't completely rely on these and get discouraged. As the future is unpredictable, so are our predictions. Instead, keep trying to improve the scores in mean time.
Anyways, this waiting game is almost over for the ones with 450+ scores, as they are already on the safe place today and very likely to get the golden tickets to apply, today onwards. So, many congratulations in advance to you all. However, for others with the lower 440s like me, this waiting game will set to be continued for another couple of draws. So, sit tight and maintain your weights by eating healthy diets.
