CBT test results have minimal effect on today’s draw. See the major reasons below:

1. CBT test success ratio is very low (25: 2) as compare to paper based.

2. Even if CBT results are available in 5 days but people still prefer paper-based over CBT due to very low success ratio.

3. If people with CBT unsatisfactory results, applies for revaluation process, it takes minimum 21 days for getting revaluation results. Again no impact on today’s draw.

Hey dude, what is the source of information for point #1?

One of my friend works with IDP as invigilator, so he disclosed & its authenticated.

They have targets and the success ratio for every CBT seating (which is 25 per slot) is 25:2 as he said.

Hi Sir,

I have applied for CBT and got my score in third attempt. One thing I want to highlight here is, I went for revaluation of Writing module (CBT based) in second attempt and I got revaluation result within 5 days. So I guess 3rd point is not true (at least in my case).

Just my opinion :)

Thanks

Listening is easier in paper based and writing is easier in CBT. I don't think either test is easier than the other.

In listening too, people with good computer writing speed have an edge as writing one or two words is faster on computer.

I am planning to book CBT itself today evening if I don't get an ITA tonight. Anyhow, the result of paper based IELTS would come very close to my birthday so no point.

Only in your case :)

Someone asked me the impact of CBT IELTS over today’s draw so it’s only to understand that it wont effect or increase today’s draw score.

Whats ur CRS now?

In CBT test, papers are checked by hired agency and staff is not on IDP payroll. To your surprise, the hired agency name is PLANET EDU for IDP in India.

I have appeared for CBT too, but trust me results are vague when it comes to CBT. It seems writing is easy due to good typing speed and blah blah but you wont find result accuracy as compare to British Council.

By the way, you’re through in today’s draw, no need to panic for sure!!

It is 442, IELTS - LRWS --> 8.5,9,7,7 . I have still scope to increase 6 points by scoring more in W and S. If I don't get ITA by May end I will again give IELTS

Hello,
I started my job under NOC 7311 in ON, Canada on April 19, 2018 after getting PGWP. I got L-9, R-7.5, W-6.5, S-6. My CRS is 448 considering one year of job. So, my question is when i will be eligible to submit my profile. Should i be able to submit it on April 20, 2019, after completing my one year of job.

Definitely, you should increase your scores as you see the competition is very tough these days. Wish you good luck!!

You’re eligible. When you enter your work experience details, system asks for Month/Year format. So, it will automatically cover your one year once your profile is created.

I have had a great run of luck since March. Hopefully, I will have the ITA at 448 today.
