Please I have a question.... I am a US citizen, my
AOR is January 30, 2019.
MEP March 14th

But no BIL till date, I am currently in Canada and I just extended my visitor status till September 2019. Can this be the reason why I haven’t received BIL yet?

My status changes today from 17 weeks to 16 weeks.

However, my background check still says: " Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check".

AOR 15 Jan.
MEP 27 Feb.
Nothing after that.

Sent a webform request to IRCC last week and got this back today in the morning

You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your application for permanent residence:

  • Your application is currently being processed at the local office in Etobicoke, Ontario. (Previously this was Sydney, Nova Scotia)
  • The responsible office is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,
    • you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
  • The background verifications are currently in process. (BG was always in progress/ IP2 after my medicals)
  • The medical examination results on file are valid for you. (Passed Feb 13' 2019)

They responded to you, despite your application still being within the time frame?

After you pay the rprf request just give a lil time to update your application.

Well processing application depends on where the application is processing and on first come first basis. Additionally, how smooth and simple your application is.

If you have your Med. & Bio passed and your timeline is reflecting around 4 months - Then you just need to wait at least till the given timeline and just keep tracking the trend of others as that gives lil hope..

I think if there is anything additional anyone in this group can add to this would be helpful.. I feel there are few PNP members here with Jan'19 AOR
I am PnP inland with Jan 14 AOR. As far as I know, only medical review takes longer for pnp applicants which will ultimately delay the whole process.

I am in the same shoes like you. So hard to find a FSW inland lol

FSW inland
AOR Jan 20
- MEP Feb 28, the status bar show 4 months
- No Biometric as I have had one
- BG check changed from non applicable to in progress on same day Feb 28
- Last week, the status bar changed from 4 moths to 18 weeks, and now on March 25 is 17 weeks
- Background check changed to in progress to "we are processing you background check" but not updates today, March 25, 2019

I don't know if I am in ip 1 or 2
wow, same boat then!
The only difference is that my Background never went through "in progress". Or I did not notice. It went from Not applicable to "we are processing"
Not that it means anything, lol but that's the only difference.
And I believe your case is IP2 uhum

Yeah, just getting but impatient when it is updated like that. I don’t know if our case will be processed faster than fsw outland or not. This wait is killing lol

What exactly you wrote on your inquiry?

Since everyone here is jumping in and asking where their file is , I might as well do the same and stop being patient myself :D:D:D (I know it won't matter nor Am dieing to know but what the heck)
