but below is the all on my ecas
(but the first page says Decision Made)

1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 16, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence on January 21, 2019. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
3. We sent you medical instructions on February 5, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
4. Medical results have been received.

Out of interest. When you go to ECAS, what does the detail under the sponsor say? It should say what date they sent correspondence for your AOR, and the same under the PA’s section. Would be good to better understand your timelines.

Sponsor also includes the date they sent AOR1 out - AOR1 goes to the sponsor not the PA.

• Line 1 - states the date the application was received.
• Line 2 - states the date CIC sent AOR1 out.
• Line 3 - states the date CIC began processing your application.
• Line 4 - states the day SA was sent out.

Ah right, you made it sound like I wasn’t aware of what the detail under the sponsor was. I asked mukmuk to confirm what data was there as he/she said they never got AOR and that would have confirmed the date it was sent to add to their timeline.

I am not sure if it's just because of the status bar update but our application in GCKey finally updated to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." under background check. Before it just said they will let us know when it starts.

Thanks for the update. So you received AOR1 on the 21st January, and AOR2 on 5th March. Now you can fill your timeline out completely.

It seems that the progress bar came with some additional info (see below):
Application status
We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

You may not hear from us for a little while, this is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date.

The entire thing is useless, it's literally just a time difference between the receipt of your application and 365 days later. The formula behind it literally shows it working out what percentage your app is to the 365 day timeline, so mine today is 29% 106/365 = 29.04%.

As others have said, it's probably been put there to avoid people calling.
