Yes I did . I was unable to do that too

Just to make sure, did you use the Principal Applicant information to link (name, passport, etc), not the Sponsor's?
Did you use 2 people as number of applicants (more if you have dependents)?

If you tried all that, I would call the IRCC to try to understand what is going on

Good luck

I see that people are receiving the OWP so I hope mine will come soon too.
Does anyone knows if your app can be sent back at that point?

I believe once you have received AOR, it is very unlikely to get the application returned. They send AOR because everything that is supposed to be submitted is in the package. Now they are reviewing actual eligibility for PA and sponsor. Obviously if you lied/put incorrect info that is very important then they will send it back. But that is why they can request documents through the portal.

That's interesting how you've got it before some of us other/ earlier applicants. Any idea why?

Wasn't for me but for my common law GF, I am not sure why it came so quick, I was expecting another few weeks. I am wondering if it is because she was on IEC and has received 2 previous work permits from that? She is also currently working and has been at this job for a while...Not sure if that has anything to do with it as well?

Hoping everyone get's OWP approval soon!

I just got my OWP approved, however, is only valid until December as my passport expires in December.
Would I be able to extend my OWP if I renew my passport in a few months?

As long as you apply to extend your OWP before it expires, you will be under implied status. Of course you do that after renewing your passport.

**Someone please help me to understand the situation**

Quebec applicant
App recieved: Dec 19
App returned: Mar 4

*Question: I submitted my application on December 19 which is returned today for a stupid reason, And I would have to apply again where as my TRV permitted stay (six months entry) was expired four days ago. Please help me to understand if I am now illegal (or overstay) in Canada. Do I have to apply for restoration of status before I resubmit my PR and OWP applications again???

(I wanted to apply for visitor extension but my lawyer suggested that since IRCC has verified that your file is in system and it’s been 2 and half months already so rest assured that you file won’t be returned and don’t apply for visitor extension and OWP app is already in the system and you are at implied status)

Please help !!!

Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and I applied for my inland spouse sponsorship along with OWP.
Application received: 18 Dec 2018.
No AOR yet. Worried
I applied on Dec 19. My app is returned today. Whereas I called twice to IRCC and they told me that your application is in system as potential applicant and don’t worry your application wouldn’t be returned and you are under implied status once your TRV status is expired. I hope this won’t happen with you or someone else. They returned my application for a stupid reason after 2 and half months

Dec 28th Applicant, My application was returned back today. I live in Montreal, Quebec

Reason given: Did not provide the required employment and/or source of Income supporting documents.

The Application checklist clearly said not to complete the section if you are a Quebec resident.

I am not sure if this was some mistake form the immigration officer who reviewed my file. Is there any way I can contest the decision? Any suggestions would be of great help!

I am also Montreal Quebec applicant. They also returned my app today which I submitted on Dec 19 for a stupid reason which is not even related to my application. I can’t underatand if they do that dileberately or it’s a human error because it’s very frequent that many apps are returned for non serious reasons.

what was the reason for its return? yes you should try to apply for restoration of status since it didnt expire too long ago
