Hi Tobs,

I am 6 days away from my 6 months mark. My security is in progress since Nov'18. I raised CSE yesterday and got a reply that my background verifications are in progress.

As per GCMS notes received on 23rd Jan, there was a blank page under my security with s(15) mentioned on the top of the page. But I can't find the word 'security screening' anywhere.not in my GCMS, CSE reply, not even as per the call with CIC call center agent.

Do u think I could be under security screening? Do they mention it anywhere if a person is being scrutinised in that way?
Security screening isn't mentioned in the GCMS notes.
Having s.15 doesn't automatically mean SS. It's usually the number of activities under security & the status of security under assessments that people use in deciphering whether or not theyre in SS. There are some threads on this forum dedicated to figuring out SS. Check them out.

Read a forum where the person under security screening could see the word 'security screening' mentioned in his/her GCMS notes.

I have also ordered CBSA and GCMS notes again. Lets see where I am.

Hello here..concerning the debate whether call agents influence application processing or not. .I can't say they do or not but what's for sure is that it's being said while waiting for a call agent to attend to you that " a call agent can't influence on the decision of ur application " .But not influencing on the decision of ur application doesn't mean he can't remind a superior officer to work on ur application
I'm saying this bcus I called on Tuesday 19th February and an agent named Peter told me he would drop a note to remind superior officer about my application which is already more than 6 months. .he said I should call again if I don't get a response by April ..I decided to raise cse the next day and guess what. .this is the response I obtained ..

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We have verified the information you provided and can confirm that the agent who responded to you on February 19, 2019, took the appropriate actions to follow up on your request.

If you do not receive more information or a decision by March 21, 2019, we invite you to contact us again by using the IRCC Web form available on our website.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

We would also like to suggest the following online services that might be helpful to you with any immigration, refugee and/or citizenship future requests:
Agent Marina
I'm not insinuating anything but I'm hoping the agent could really remind the officers to look in our cases. .what do you think guys

Very nice stories shared today...

Congratulation to the people who received their PPR today!

Is there anyone here who had REVIEW REQUIRED and got their PPR already?

I had a REVIEW REQUIRED for my job experience back in November and I noticed that I had sent them an incomplete LOE that might have caused that. I sent them a new LOE with details right after reading my notes. That is why I wonder if you have review required is it going to prolong your application by a lot?

All RR applications are almost dead from regular processing and no one knows then they get back to life. It is very unfortunate that they don't have proper process in place to handle the Review Required applications rather focus on new invites. It is good if they stay on their words and either reject or approve in 6 months so that we can save lot of frustration and file in good faith when doing so. When you are telling your own information i'm not sure what else is needed. They can simply ask for more details rather than keeping us in limbo.

Since your BG is already in progress , so that means your eligibility came out clean and most likely is passed given the duration from 30th Nov. The most likely explanation for " in queue for review" is that your security check results are available and an officer just need to pick your file to give a closure. But since security results for many folks would have been available earlier than you , so your file is waiting for its turn.
Just hang on for few more days , if nothing happens call them again and raise a CSE too.
You can also order GCMS notes if not already done ,just to know exactly what took them so long.
But I believe your file is up for final review.

Cheers!
Thanks for your feedback! Although the status in my online account is still "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements". Does this mean I haven't passed eligibility yet?

One day waiting post 6 months feels like one week of waiting prior the 6 month deadline!

I called IRCC on 20th Feb and got to talk to Peter as well. As it had already been post 6 months fpr my application, he said that he will leave a message for the Ottawa case officer to look for my file.

Place of residence: Dubai (one of the safest
in the world)
Travel history: Yes, I have travelled to 8+ countries.

I am getting ss nightmares because my security is ongoing since Nov'18. Basically 100+ days. I see quite many ppl in the same situation here though. But this much time for security isn't normal I guess.
