Hello guys, hope everyone doing well here.

I am going to land Toronto on 3rd March at 12.35 PM and then my connecting flight towards Ottawa is at 3 PM. It is about 2 and half hours window; I know its very tight schedule but I had no choice. I am flying with Cathay Pacific and my Journey ends in Ottawa. My airline agent is saying I will get my luggages at the last stop which is Ottawa. I read in this forum that as part of the landing procedures I have to do customs in Toronto which includes collecting luggages and then drop them off to the connecting airlines counter.

As I said, I bought ticket which is valid till Ottawa where I should get the luggages. Which one is correct? Will I get luggages in Toronto or in Ottawa? I am confused, please help if someone has any specific knowledge. Also how long it takes to complete landing in Toronto given that it will be Sunday afternoon?

Guys,
Happy to share that my consultant has just forwarded our PPR. We have to submit our passports at VAC for stamping at Singapore HC.
Does anyone know how much time is taken by Singapore HC to return the passports?
Best wishes to every one awaiting PPR here.
Cheers...
Congrats! It typically takes 2-3 weeks.

It's a junk visa office, most RR applications end up there. Check what information they requested, they might have sent an email

You have to surrender all your licenses in Alberta once you pass the written test. In my case that included an international license, expired license and current license from my country. I had an abstract that I also submitted and within a week was told I was exempted from the GDL requirements (you still have to pass road tests and upgrade your license at different intervals but you don't have a waiting period to do so)...**This is my experience**...
Oh interesting! I only had a translation of my back home Driver's license, which I used to be exempted from GDL in Saskatchewan, but they did not ask me to surrender it (maybe because it was only a certified translation).

You will have to pick luggage at Toronto and drop it off again.

anyone (study permit, work permit, or PR) who travels from outside of Canada has to pick up their luggage in Toronto first, then do the customs. Especially, if you are coming from another continent, you have to report any food or vegetable that you have with you and in Toronto, they may check your luggage for that reason as well. I would say 2.5 hours is too tight and risky, depending on the airport, you may or may not lose your next flight to Ottawa.
What airline agent says is wrong and only applies to internal flights not flights from outside of Canada

Call and ask specifically about your eligibilty if it has been passed or met or Recommended passed.
Assuming the reply to either of the above is positive then you're awaiting the final review.
If the reply is that your eligibilty is review required then it's not the final review.
I think the reply you got is related to the final review but your call will confirm or deny my assumptions.
Remember to be specific with your questions.

Bad news.. it's eligibility review required.. BGC in progress.. security not even started yet. Is there anything specific in eligibility required that they're reviewing? the rep told me my GCMS notes wont say any specific.

I got ADR like 2 weeks after and thought all was well. How long will my file be in limbo? I just want to know...

Is there even a chance of getting PR once its eligibility review required?

Just gotta look on the bright side of life. Feels bad because I've been in Canada for close to 7 years now.

I wonder why they don't just reject me at the beginning if there was something wrong, instead asking me to do all the work to give them additional documents and stuff. Oh well!

Rep is wrong. You need to order GCMS notes.
