I just got off the phone with IRCC after waiting on hold for an hour but it was well worth it! Here's what I found out:

Medical: Passed
Criminality: Not yet started
Security: Not yet started
Eligibility: Met
Visa Office: CIO-Sydney, NS

Extensive Travel History (ETH): I wasn't rushed so I decided to talk about my ETH and if that is a good thing or bad. All things being equal, he said it generally lends more confidence to the overall security profile, particularly because it shows I am leaving and reentering certain countries, which implies that I have been abiding by their laws and haven't been stopped at a border or refused a visa for whatever reason. These are the views of a call center agent and not a case officer, I am aware.

The agent was polite and patient, and the conversation was lively; the agent was actually engaging me in conversation!

I'm assuming you'll enter IP2 once they start criminality and security. However, these probably are the stages that take the most time.

I am inland CEC applicant.

Meds passed. Today I got an email from CIC asking me to upload Schedule A IMM 5669. Said something like this:



"Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature. Please be sure to include your parents' information.This must be received at this office by: 2019/02/15.

Please note that the requested information/documents must be received within the allocated time stated above. Please upload these documents to your MyCIC account.

If we do not receive the information/documents within the aforementioned deadline, your application will be assessed based on the information we have on file. "


Can someone please help. I am so anxious. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Click "My Cases" and then click your case. It's the same screen that has the "Edit Case" button on it, but don't click that. Just copy the URL at the top.

Not quite, but almost. I had said don't click "Edit Case". It's the same URL but without the "edit' on the end. I hope this helps. I clicked watch on your case.

Here's my first update!

Hopefully that will suffice as introductions... first time posting but have followed most of the pages...
Signed in to the cic website today and was shocked that there was change from "read" to "updated", but alas... not much difference... so guessing that it was a ghost update (Feb 8)

After step 4, just use options 2 1 1 0 (family sponsorship) to get to the same representatives and you don't have to do all the application number/letter/year of birth/listening.

I think it'll be OK regardless, but my guess is they are processing your other items at the same time. I would suggest ordering GCMS after day 75 or so and see if they are processing your other items. You probably could ask IRCC through a CSE at that time as well to determine if they are working on your other items.

Since it will likely take > 90 days for your total immigration process, as long as they are doing other checks at the same time as your medical, it should affect you if your expiration is 1 year from the original medical.

@USProgrammer and @derkdsou according to @legalfalcon in my case they don't wait for medicals getting cleared and continue other checks at the same time. But it is better as you said to order gcms or raise a cse after 75 days. Thank you.

Does the eligibility status show up differently now on your IRCC application page?
Thanks for sharing the info on ETH, really appreciated. Clear that it is just one person's opinion but I for one am happy with what they told you ;-)
I have been refraining to call them re-my status still showing "action required" 9 days after my biometrics showing up properly on their website as i don't want to delay everyone but might do it next week.
