DAKAR OFFICE VISA DELAY

Dear All,

My spouse passport was requested in November 2016 and receipt was acknowledged on the 21st of November 2016. Nothing has happened thereafter. I have send three emails without any response from the visa office. Till this day, nothing seems to be happening, my status on the immigration website remains 'In progress'.

This is beginning to be a pain, this has been ongoing over two months. What else can I do? I am tired,anxious, angry and disappointed with the Dakar office.

Any one is in a similar position?

I'm really sorry to hear about your situation… We also have an application with Dakar right now. They have not yet asked for my SO's passport but every time we try to contact the Dakar office they are either extremely late getting back to us, or don't get back to us at all.

For example, for months they didn't acknowledge receipt of our medical results, and when I finally contacted my MP they told his office that they had never requested medicals so why would they have them on file? Well, they HAD contacted us for medicals long before and they did actually have them. That's not the only example but it paints the picture. It's pretty infuriating.

I am not sure if you are French speaking. but you're not alone. Numerous people on this forum have been waiting for their passports back since November

Thanks for creating this thread. I too my passport is there since december 27th and nothing till now. This is not fair at all at all. On the french forum link kitoko posted some even went ahead and sent complaints to cic...

i have the same problem with dakar , look like their dont care about the french speaking country . its niw 5 month since their received my application and their never said anything up to now . this is unbelieveble .keep us updated for those who have the same problem

Am confuse as well, we sent passport on the 12 as requested and we got AOR on the 17th and since then we have not heard from them. Its painful .

My wife got acknowledgement of receipt of the passport on the 17th of december and ever since then Dakar office is not coming back to us.
Please is the anyone who submitted round about that time?

I will just tell you about a friend of mine who Lao submitted the passport and it’s took 4 month only to return it with no visa in it , and their said that their did stamp the visa . So if your application is beyond the time limit just call your MP and that may help . Dakar need few country to handle , I think the work is too much for them and their officers sleep instead of working ... anyways good luck dear

Make sure you contact your member of parliament and explain your case .

same here, am so mad at them right now. no update. I did the web form still no reply

Sincerely I’m worried as my spouse application has been already 18 months in Dakar office.

She was asked for medical in November 2017 and the medical already elapse it normal processing time.

She had a baby and the baby medical has been requested but her medical was not requested to done.

At the moment the most complicated issue is that we write the embassy and they said her application await interview.

At this point I’m not sure what would have happen for her medical to be requested and later saying she will need interview.

We are not sure how this will work out. Will she need to go to Senegal for the interview?

How long will be the wait before actually decide the day and place for interview.

Has anyone gone through this process from Dakar office?

What sort of questions are ask during the interview.

Your feedbacks will be highly appreciated.
