thank you for the reply.
I wrote a mail to IQAS team and got a response

Do transcripts/mark sheets have to be sent directly by the school to IQAS?
Yes. IQAS needs to verify that your credentials are authentic so your school must send your transcripts directly to IQAS in a sealed envelope. Use the Request of Academic Records form on our website to ask your school to send your transcripts. In cases where the issuing institution cannot send transcripts directly to IQAS, they may provide you with a sealed envelope with your attested transcripts enclosed which may be couriered by you to our office. The envelope must remain sealed, and has to be stamped with the institution's official seal across the back flap.

We hope this information is helpful. Please review the IQAS website to find up-to-date information and further answers to your questions.

Thank you,

Ministry of Labour
Government of Alberta

With this response i guess can go ahead with the application procedure as there is a mail correspondence from IQAS.
Hi, had you mentioned in your email that you are from India? Also, on which date did you send it and when did you get a reply?

Can anyone confirm that WES has accepted the documents that you'd couriered on your own? Because it looks like no university has accepted to send the same (including mine, anna university)

Hi, I have a question.

I did my btech in a college(Sri Nidhi) that is affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad.

1. what should be the institute name while paying for the wes application.
Your Name on Credential: XYZ ABC
Country: India
Institution: Sri Nidhi College or JNTU Hyderbad ????
Institution Type: University Education
Diploma/Certificate: Bachelor of Technology
Major: Electronics and Communication Engineering
Year Awarded: 2014

2. I am confused if my college needs to fill the rest of the academic request form and post transcripts to WES or university should be doing that.
Please help me!

Thank you

My University (MDU, Rohtak) also denied point blank. Some sensible officer in the Registrar's office opined that it is not a question of a simple one line change...it is an entire process change because they will have to create provision in their application forms (online and/or offline versions) to first add the fields to capture the Address and WES Reference Numbers (to where the transcripts will have to be sent) plus they will have to calculate & apply fee increase to accommodate courier + additional service charges. Also, International couriers from India require KYC, i.e. an ID proof has to be attached of the sender (whose will it be, I don't know). Most of the Universities do not have an International Courier Policy. The University will have to make several such changes. All these changes take time and require procedural approvals after deliberations at higher levels. No University will do whimsical changes just because some particular Company in some corner of the world has changed its policies.

Update-1: I raised this issue with WES Customer Care 3 days back and they came back with the reply as follows (sic):
"Thank you for your inquiry.
You can leave your file open as long as necessary for the university to send us the required documents. Unfortunately the only other option is to drop the credential from your application.
Since the university was already attesting and sealing marks, hopefully they will shortly come up with a plan on sending those sealed envelopes.
Thank you for your patience,
WES Customer Service"

Update-2: After seeing the above response, I realised that it is no good use wasting time with them. I have cancelled my application with WES today and have asked for a refund of my fees. Their FAQs on refund state that they will deduct CAD 50, which is fine. I'd rather choose one of the other ECA evaluators who are more sensible with their policies.
Hi,

Which other ECS option did you chose?
Even IQAS wants the documents directly from the university.
Thanks in advance!!

I have the same issue. I have the transcripts but now I can't send them to WES.
I was thinking of IQAS but they have the same policy, they want the transcripts directly from the university.
Not sure if old transcripts would be a problem.

Hi all, after reading through this I am a little concerned. I was planning to go via WES as well. I have done a B.E. (engineering) degree from a Mumbai University college in 2007. People here mention that MU does not post the transcripts ?? This is worrying. Has anyone heard back from WES after they posted the transcripts themselves ?

1) Also, does WES require the 'attested copies' of all the marksheets apart from the 'transcripts' or they just need the transcripts ? I am confused...

2) Secondly, if they require attested copies of marksheets then in my case, MU only conducted exams for 1st year and 4th year. So, I will need to approach my college as well to get attested marksheets for year 2 and 3 from them separately ? Then approach MU separately ?

What is the average timeframe to get the above ? Is it over 1 week usually ?

Thanks in advance
