Hey @tobs

I got the reply from Ottawa VO, I had emailed them last night after my call to cic. Following is the reply:

Please be informed that your application is currently in queue for review by an officer. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with a date on which your file will be reviewed.

Please be assured that you will be contacted immediately should further information be required or regarding the next steps in your file. “

Is it a normal reply??

April AoR .I received the same reply from Ottawa on 11th. Now on monday apparently my file was moved to London, UK and I had a ghost update yesterday.

If I may ask - where did you order the notes from? And did you get a message from them? From what I could understand in the E-mail they sent, the agency (getGCMS) reached out to CIC to see if they can find a reason for the delay.
My representative submit the request through Atip. Therefore, this was direct and not through third parties

The most lame excuse that I hear from CIC is that each case is different from others and some cases require more time for verification blah blah blah
Yeah, right. So, let's see how my case was complicated:
1- My education was from a well-known Canadian university, easy to verify, no need for any assessment, ECA, or anything
2- There are many cases with review required for their job experience letter, format of the letter, wrong NOC code, etc., yet they are receiving ppr after several ADRS. There are a lot of cases who fake their job experience, yet they are receiving ppr. But, in my case, everything was in order. The job experience is Canadian. Because of the job that I have, CIC even has access to my employment information and can verify everything. Everything was clear and easy to verify.
3- Criminality: I have been living in this country for several years and they already have all my info, finger prints, etc. I have provided them PCC from Canada and from my country of origin.I have already done RCMP finger prints on several occasions and they checked my background for some other applications that I had
4- PoF: I have a job in Canada, so no need for PoF.
5- Security: this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. If you are suspicious that I might be dangerous to the Canadian security, why the hell you allowed me in Canada at first place. How come I haven't done anything against Canadian in this time that I have been living in Canada.

"each case is different blah blah blah" is just a lame excuse that CIC uses to hide behind it whenever necessary.

Hello Folks....

Aor: June 12, 2018
FSW-Inland.

Just called CIC and I was lucky enough to get in queue in the 1st shot. The agent was very polite and answered very patiently. As far as update on the application, nothing has changed since Jan 12, 2019. Medical, Eligibility and Criminality- all Passed and Security in Progress. File is still at CIO, Sydney NS. I asked if she can leave a note on the file for officer to get any update about security and she said that if I don't hear anything until April 16, 2019 then she can contact officer. not before this date which is life after 10 months of my AOR...:mad:
She also said as I am already in Canada, I will definitely receive PPR from Ottawa only. File will be moved from Sydney- Ottawa once everything is finalized.

I don't know what CIC is upto...Why taking sooo much long to finalize everything..!! Especially for June applicants....:(

I think you can check with the IRCC call center next week it could be that they have finalized the application.
I did.
I had called ircc on monday which was the first time I heard London VO is involved as well.
I was told same thing, i.e eligibility clear, criminality in progress and security not started.

Yesterday after ghost update, the agent told me he had no access at all to file since it was handled by London. I emailed London Vo and also sent cse webform.

Now I am waiting what the ghost update was for, either approval or because officer went through my file. Whatever it is, I guess its a good thing as long as somone is opening it.
