Extensive travel history

Hello kind folks, first, good luck to everyone still waiting for your PPR. I have a question specifically for those of you that had extensive travel histories to find out whether your PPR was affected or delayed in any way.

I had roughly 100 international trips in the last 10 years, which I meticulously reported in the Travel History section of my application. Most of the travel was to Schengen countries for work while I lived in the UK, but I also had some travel to the Middle East, Africa and South America, with more frequent travel to Asia and the US.

I was only required to produce upfront PCCs for the UK and India, which I did.

I have a mid-December AOR and have a long way to go, but it’s never too early to start worrying, right? ;) I would be grateful for any experience or insight you can share.

Delay in file because of Extensive travel history is debatable...If you go through forums you will see lots of people have received their PPR even with lot of travel history and others have been stuck a long time....No one has been able to figure out what goes on for extensive travel history applicants...
I myself have a very extensive travel history and my AOR is 10th Nov....Still sitting in ip1....

Thank you v much for replying! And I can understand why it's hard to generalize from the data you have seen.

I am floating a theory (for which I'm trying to find proof): The broader your travel the richer your file is in terms of data points and international info sharing, which adds confidence to your profile, I suppose?

FYI, the distribution of my travel by geography is 50% in the Schengen area, 15% to the US, about 25% to Asia (incl. China), and the final 10% to Mexico, South America, Africa and the Middle East. The distribution by purpose of travel is 75% for work, and 25% for tourism.

Hopefully you are right....

You mentioned Mexico...I was only in Mexico for 4 days yet I was requested a PCC (not sure why) through ADR...I seriously hope they don't ask for Mexican PCC to anyone....It is a painful process to get it from overseas but I was lucky to have found a really good agent in Mexico that did it for me...In fact I hope they don't ask me for anymore PCCs for any other short visits...Its gonna delay my application even more...

A PCC request for a 4-day trip to Mexico sounds like a kick in the nuts. Man, I'll come knocking on your door if they make me get one.
Sounds like you had to submit a lot of PCCs. Which countries? Which other short visit PCCs?
I am also preemptively going to get a PCC for the US (although not required upfront) just to be armed and loaded with it.

Oh Mexico was the only country they asked for for a short visit...touchwood!!!
And I wish you lot of luck - hopefully they don't ask for any additional PCCs from you at all....

got PPR yesterday and have been requested to send my passport to my visa office along with recent photos (4 copies). in the mean time, on MyCIC profile, under View Submitted Documents, there have been created containers asking for photos and passports. is this normal? do I have to upload anything?
did you submit photographs with your initial submission?

Congrats btw

Hello Everyone,i got my PUM today.
My Experience:
I got my PPR on the 19th of December,2018. I sent the Requirements stated in the PPR email to Acrra Office that same day (a copy of the "Ready for Visa" email, my travel Passport(s) and 2 passport photograph as specified in my PPR email; Not 4 passport as most people insinuates), Speaking of other few key things:

1. I said passport(s) because I sent my old passport carrying my Travel history stamps & travel history Visa(s)(Guessing hence why even after sending my passports my CIC profiIe was still on IP2. Please send your old passport if it contains details of your travel history, else you risk the change of resending it again at an extra cost).
My CIC profile status change around noon today to "Final Decision: your application was approved" and my 13weeks changed to "we are done processing your application" and also my Visa was issued on my new passport (I know this cuz u get a 1 line summary of the decision on your application in your CIC profile)

2. My PPR email asked me to use VFS. But thanks to this forum, I found out that using VFS was a bad idea so I used DHL & my Passport was delivered to Acrra Ghana in 3days.
The Whole sending of my Passport to Acrra till I got a PUM took about a month.

Wishing everyone the best and please don't forget to leverage on the Pre-Arrival services sponsored by Canada Government,it works!!!

Thanks.

Hello,

I know this might seem a repetitive question, but can I get a best number to contact the IRCC official from USA, did you use hangouts as well? Thanks in advance.
I called this number (*67 613 944 4000: yes with that asterisk sign at the beginning. copy paste to your keypad of the phone) using my cell phone. I have AT&T service and I do not know if the call was getting billed. I guess, I will find out when the next bill arrives o_O

Please put this information on MyImmiTracker.com, if you haven't already done so - it helps all of us.
