Congratulations to all who received PPR recently... especially all the very active members. I'm not going to list names because I don't want to accidentally leave someone out...aaaaaaand it's a lot of you now.:D

I'm still here waiting:(...waiting:(.....and enjoying the June chatter;).

Hope this new year will be a happy one for all of us... sooner rather than latter.

Also ...maybe we need to compile a list of those from June (and any May/July adoptees) that are still waiting. What do you guys think?
it's coming soon hang in there :)

Thanks for your response.

I am already inside Canada with Post-Graduate Work Permit and not planning to travel until my PR processing is done. I am ready to send my passport for renewal but what if I get a passport request mail from CIC while my passport is still getting renewed, the process takes about 4 weeks? WIll I send the passport to CIC as soon as I get back at the same time file a case specific inquiry since the passport number will change?
You can ask for extension. The PPR email states that if for any reason you can not submit the passport in 30 days let us know. I’m sure for a reason like this they will give you an extension. I don’t think this is something to worry about.

Thanks. As usual you are being very helpful.

At the moment I am unbelievably frustrated. I have a PNP-based paper application processing since October 2017 which is also on the last stage. Stuck with the EE-CEC as well. Most of my friends already got their PR.

You have two applications in parallel?

yes. many inland applicants in BC do that. after graduating they apply for PNP based PR by mail and after 1 year of work experience they apply for EE-CEC. but most of them get EE-CEC within 2 months. but in my case its reaching 7 months.

Ah okay. That’s interesting. Yeah logically inland files should be faster but for some reason they are not.
One guy on Montreal thread was waiting since Feb’18. He once told me that he will withdraw and apply again. He said many inland candidates (his friends) did that when their application got stuck. And second time around they got PPr within 2-3 months. I haven’t read that being mentioned much on the forum. I find it a bit risky approach as well. But seems like some people may be doing that.
Just curious why your first application wasn’t online. Is the process only offline for that?

I don't see the point of withdrawing. Since it appears to be in last stage as per ATIP note.

Ya paper based PNP application needs to be submitted by letter mail although you can track over online. But its processing time is 19 months.

Yeah I don’t see any point either. Just stating what someone told me. But point is some inland candidates are delayed since beginning of the year.

I know some inlands around the same AOR range waiting. So I am still keeping my hope up. Finger crossed.

In my case most likely the extensive travel history would be the reason for the SS, I can’t say for sure but it’s my guess only. I have other forum members such @thereishope1 @syedahraza @StevieRayVaughan, live in Canada but still were pulled up for SS.
I think it would be great if we can try and find a correlation between them, what they all have in common. You're still in SS now ?
