I don't believe you need to notarize copies of ID and passport, unless CIC specifically asks for this. It is primarily documents that are not in English or French that require translation and a seal, but check your "country specific requirements" in case Nicaragua has different rules.

I figured, but better safe then sorry, don't want anything to delay the process.

We are having his ID certified translated and it will be stamped by the official translator.

Appreciate the help!

Hi guys, so I have two questions which I am struggling with a bit...my AOR was December 17th. I linked the app to GCKey using sponsor's uci and application number. This was the only way it would link. So it is successfully linked and I got the bio metric request on 7th of January, went for it yesterday and it was almost immediately on GCKey.

My first question is, will the medical request also come from this GCKey account? Because I linked it using the application number but the sponsor's details were used, since they were the only details that worked.

My second question - how will we know whether the sponsor is approved? The sponsor does not have an account, so will the sponsor just get an e-mail confirming approval? The sponsor's e-mail was given in the application and AOR was sent to this e-mail so they definitely have the correct e-mail.

Any help would be appreciated, as I am a bit paranoid that we got AOR and bio metric request but nothing about medical or SA.

Thanks in advance :)

UPDATE: I just used sponsor's UCI and surname etc. to log into ECAS. Under "Sponsorship Application Status" it says "Decision Made". Does this mean sponsor is approved?

Yay! I just don't understand how the medical request will work, I will just keep on checking GCKey. It is strange that eligibility check has started before medicals were requested.
Congratulations!

I am still waiting...sigh. But I am hopeful:) lol
