So looking at this do we know how long you will have to wait more?
My CBSA note is due on Feb 1. But is it possible that if someone is not in SS but still have CBSA note ? Or they only process cases actually in SS ?
I am hoping that the misery may get over for me between March-May.
Logically speaking they should provide CBSA notes for each applicant.
Unlogically speaking, anything is possible :p

Did you get to know if you were under security screening from gcms notes? I have ordered one on December 12th. I am quite worried if I am put to that too since the last time I talked to the agent he asked me if I was ever arrested (I never was) and said that my application is complicated which doesn't make sense to me because I passed eligibility and criminality and I have no extensive travel history. The agent was unbelievably rude from the start and was threatening that if he needs to open my file then he will mark it. In the end he said wait till April 2019.

Got it.
So, you haven't received the request to send passport? And interview date is predefined by them? You can't change it?
Maybe the information below will help you.

Regarding the date of the interview, this is what is written in the document:

“If you cannot attend this interview and/or have pre-booked travels outside of Canada in

the 90-days following your final determination for permanent residence interview, please

e-mail WST-Landing-Enquiries@cic.gc.ca or call the IRCC Call Centre at 1-888-242-2100.”

With respect the passport and other documents:

"Please bring the following original documents to your interview:

 A valid passport, identity or travel document; if you were previously advised that you

are exempt from the travel document requirement, bring other documents establishing

your identity.

 Important: If for any reason you are not in possession of valid identity/travel

documents at the time of the appointment, you must advise this office PRIOR to

the appointment date.

 Two photographs of yourself and for each person in your family that is being processed

for permanent residence inside Canada.

Please show the photographer the document found here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

 Current and expired Temporary Resident documents issued by IRCC

These include work permits, study permits & visitor records.

 Proof of Payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee

Please ensure you either have a copy of the receipt printed or saved PDF copy viewable

on an electronic device.

Please note:

If you have recently changed any of the following without updating IRCC, please scan &

e-mail WST-Landing-Enquiries@cic.gc.ca your update and document(s) immediately.

Please also bring the original documents along to your interview."

Wow what level of detail! Damn man this is excruciating.
Excruciating is to decipher

GCMS notes will provide you an indication only wrt to SS.
Once you get the notes look for ACTIVITY 1-5, see if the first 3(or 4) activities are redacted(info removed) followed by 4(or 5) activity mentioned as Security, then it likely indicating SS. To be certain that you are in SS or not, you will have to order CBSA notes or just wait it out.

Yeah, I did read about your re-order and my empathies with you, because you are still @IP1. I know what @Nishika22 received in her GCMS. I don't have words to describe my feeling of intrigue. Why on earth, plain, simple, straightforward applications are sitting without any movement, whatsoever!
Ok guys, just got a mail from CPC-CTD-ottawa@cic.gc.ca today (I sent the mail on 19th Dec):

Quote

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Canada.

Please be informed that we are awaiting the results of some internal processing prior to the finalization of your application. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times. At this time, there is nothing that is required on your part. Your continued patience is greatly appreciated.

The best regards,

CPC-O

Now, I’m aware security checks haven’t commenced. What could these internal checks be (given SS is outside the immediate mandate of CIC; hence is possibly an external check) that are holding up my application? I mean cmon, as Alice in Wonderland would say, it’s getting ‘curioser and curioser’! :p

Hmm.. So 'no b/f to 2019' , and no info to help you as well :). Liked the way you calmed (or may be you are already calm as you have made up your mind for 2019 with home movement etc.) your frustration while writing. Lets hope our files move to PPR soon.
As a mom of a restless 2 year old, who entered his terrible twos just a couple months ago, ‘patience’ is my middle name ;) But yeah, CIC is worse than my toddler, he’s innocent at least :p
