Hey i noticed you also mentioned you didn't have an emirates ID, could you please break down the steps you had to do to get the certificated ?
@glassjaw09 @Muneeb1987
From what i understand i have to get my fingerprint form notarized then authenticate the form through official document services (222 jarvis street) then send it to UAE embassy to legalize it then send the final form to Dubai Police station. where do i actually do the online form and pay the fees ?

The online form is linked above, you need to select "outside UAE" for your location and "No" when asked if you have Emirates ID.
To download the fingerprint card, there's a link in the online form under "Biometric Card Photocopy". Although it says you need to pay via GCC-issued cards, there are people here that managed to pay using other credit cards. In my case, I was able to even use a debit card (Philippines).

Now the fingerprints, there's 3 things you need to do:
1) Make sure your fingerprints are taken by an authorized person.
2) After 1, it needs to be authenticated by your country's Foreign Affairs department.
3) After 2, it needs to be authenticated by the UAE Embassy in your country.
Please note that the fingerprinting process may slightly differ depending on which country you're coming from---Some countries have the police do the fingerprints, some countries have services where they will do steps 2&3 for you altogether, and some have all-in-one services, etc. But no matter how it's done, those 3 things listed are what Dubai Police's going to look for on your fingerprint card.

When all things are settled**, you need to send your authenticated fingerprints, 2 nos. of passport-sized pics, your payment receipt (for good measure), passport photocopy and previous UAE residence visa passport page photocopy to:

Criminal Investigation Department
Good Conduct Certificate Section
Dubai Police Headquarters
P.O. Box 1493, Dubai, UAE

** I placed all of these in one envelope/folder, and marked clearly on the outside 'To: CID Good Conduct Certificate Section', 'Re: Police Clearance Certificate Application' and lastly my reference no. As I don't frequent the forums, I hope the others with the same case can refer to this. Happy new year everyone!

This is all very confusing when it comes to UAE PPC, I am currently in UAE and my parents are in Canada going through their PR process. They have been requested to submit their PPC. They left UAE in 2016 and their Emirates ID has obviously expired. I have gone through Dubai Police Station three occasions and all they do is tell you to apply online. Now I have few questions before I apply online for them, I have the passport copy and EID. When I go on the PCC website and apply, it says inside UAE or Outside UAE, When I do outside UAE they are asking for fingerprints attested by the embassy in Canada. When I do inside UAE, they don't ask for the same.

1) If I do inside UAE and get the certificate is it still valid?
2) If I do outside UAE, the process is long and we have to submit the PCC by end of the month. Can CIC give an extension of any kind given the process is not in our hands?

Last year I went through the same process for my younger brother and it was a shit show and it was only done through back-end connections and his online application was useless and it never came through from Dubai Police. Finally, we had to go through somebody to get PPC from Abu Dhabi and It used the PCC on his old passport and ID, which somehow CIC accepted.

Hi, So I am doing the same as you said and when select go outside UAE, I fill all the details. If you notice at the bottom it says "Biometric Card Photocopy", do one need to upload the biometric and there is no space for it anyway.

Hi,

I worked in the UAE from 1999 to 2004. I was issued a PCC when I left in 2004, but I've lost it in moving from one country to another recently.
Obviously, my EID has expired and, since I've had 2 passports since living there, I no longer have the residency permit page. Is there any way to get the PCC without the residency? Thanks.

Hello Guys,

I would like to share my personal experience in getting police certificate for UAE. I never expected that the process is so simple and it costs 320 AED only. You should have your Emirates ID # with you which you held when you were a resident there ( doesn´t matter if it has expired)

1. Go to Dubai Police Website www.dubaipolice.gov.ae
2. Go to Services -> More
3. Click On Police Clearance Certificate
4. Click Access Service
5. Select 'Outside UAE' in 'I am located?' section
6. Fill out all other information and in "Do you have Emirates ID" section, select "Yes" and then input your
Emirates ID which you used to hold while you were a resident there.
7. Upload your Passport, Photo and Residency Page Copy
8. Click Next
9. Enter your Address (Can be your current address in any country)
10. Enter Payment details. Card being used should be a GCC card.

Thats it. One the payment is submitted, you will get certificate in your email in 1-2 days. They cross-check your information using Emirates ID number.

I hope it helps.

Thanks
Faheem
