Hey!
Are you talking about Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Edmonton (NAIT)?
I applied for a 2 year program for January2019 Intake almost at the end of july2018 and got a 'conditional' LoA on September 26,2018.
As far as I know the seats for international students are already full for May2019 intake if you have applied in December(So, I would recommend you to apply for September 2019 intake now only). But if you applied before December or November then be positive you'll get the Letter of Acceptance but it would be "Conditional".
So, applying for a student visa with a conditional LoA would NOT make your file strong at all! You just need to proceed carefully.

Hope that helps!

Hello! Yes, I'm talking about NAIT in Edmonton. I applied last October for the May 2019 intake so I think I'll just expect to have the decision on January. By the way, you got conditional LOA too? So you submitted the conditional LOA when you applied for student visa?

Thanks!

I got conditional LoA even though I had paid the tuition dues and every other requirement was met. NAIT said that they would not issue me full LoA until I submit the proof of a valid study permit. So, I just sent my file to embassy with that Conditional LoA on Nov.1,18 and got REFUSED on Nov.23,18 and the reason that embassy gave was that they were not satisfied that my admission to the intended program is unconditional. So, I requested NAIT to give me full LoA so that I can relodge my file. But, they refused. But, they issued me a separate letter after almost a week that mentioned that the only condition left is to submit the proof of a valid study permit. So that strengthened my file next time! But again I had to send NAIT a lot of requests for giving me extension of the deadline to submit the study permit.

And fortunately I got extension till Jan.4,2019(had to struggle a lot for this extension) as well as my visa for the same intake on Dec.21,18(I had applied again on Dec.3,18).
So, just be careful with all this stuff!

Wow. Never thought that applying in NAIT would be this stressful! So if i get conditional LOA, I will already request for a separate letter for the study permit. Thanks for this! By the way, from where are you what course are you gonna take?

It was stressful indeed! Also, if you want that letter mentioning the condition of the study permit, don't ask on live chat, they won't help you regarding extensions and other letters, ask for that letter by mailing to vista@nait.ca(just ask for separate letter only if they give you conditional admission). This email address is for international students.
And I applied for Business Administration-General and I'm from Punjab(India).
What 'bout you?
