Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,

Completed the Oath ceremony yesterday (Dec 20th) at Mississauga. The application process took about 13 and half months for me. (They received my application on November 10, 2017).

The whole journey from PR Application (April 2010) to Canadian Citizenship lasted about 8 and half years. For some of you, the journey might have been quicker, and for the rest of you- it might be slower (but y'all will complete your journey just like the rest of us).

This forum has been very helpful for both my PR and Citizenship applications, and I'd like to thank every single member out here who had responded to my queries or have constructively contributed to the trove of knowledge out here.

Good luck to everyone.

Hi,
I read your previous post just wondering what extra documents they asked for? How was your interview? Were your comfortable with the officer?
Why IRCC do not ask for any additional document during the processioning why have to wait to know in the interview or after? The processing to finish is taking tooo long..

Hi
Actually at the time of the interview the officer asked my husband for additional documents but as for me they asked for my fingerprint after 3 months , why is that I don't know it's just our luck as a friend of us who lives in Ottawa was also asked for additional documents and he got a letter for the oath in less than one months even the time from his interview was around 3 months Lucky isn't he. The officer that did our interview was very hard I did not feel comfortable the minute she started questioning us .

Hello Everyone:

Wish you a very Happy New Year!

I received a form in the mail from CIC Mississauga. It is filled out by hand and lists the To date of my absences from Canada. However, the dates listed are outside the five year eligibility period for my application. My application was delivered on the 12th of October 2017 and the dates listed are from the 19th of July 2012 and earlier, i.e. over five years before my application date. Please let me know if anyone else has received such a form, with dates prior to the eligibility period.

Thanks!

The form has a table showing FROM, TO, DESTINATION,REASON and Total # of days. Other than that, it requires you to sign and complete the place and date of signing. Nothing else was asked for.

So the best thing to do is fill it up and include a cover letter along with it explaining your stance as this does not fall in your eligibility period. No harm
