Still waiting for the test, almost 14 mobnths now, their corrupt and discriminatory process is absolutely ridicules, and their answers are even more ridicules when you call them.
You should contact CIC. I wrote a webform, and they said my inquiry was sent to my processing office. After fee days later, i got a test invitation. I am not sure the webform helped but you could try :)

I sent a web form, I contacted MP, and sent a letter to the local office too six weeks ago, and nothing happened. I also called CIC a few times and got the same ridiculous answers saying my case is in process at the local office - basically they just tell me what I can see on eCAS myself. And after sending the web form, they emailed me back with their useless generic email template and said your file is in process and we will contact you if we need anything. They did not even answer my original question, which was why my application was in process for 13 months without any change or update and even the background check had not been started. They are using taxpayers' money which is our money to provide the most awful service an organization can provide. Very shameful!

hm.. that’s shameful. They should process the applications in order, at least (although some cases require more procedures).

They do as stated from the minister's office in an email to me. My comment is, no way.

By now everyone knows IRCC's order is disorder. Maybe they work in order and here is their order - they process applications that were sent last first, that's their order which is as good and fair as their process! Several of my friends with almost identical case as mine applied seven months after I did and they are citizens now and I'm sitting and waiting for my test invite to come after 14 months of waiting. The best part is that when they are lazy to work on your application or when they forget it and it goes over the stated processing time, they just justify their laziness and inefficiency by calling your case unusual. I really wish I could sleep on my job and mess up client data, forget about them, or slack and then when they complain I just say your case is unusual and for no reason, it's just unusual! Absolutely ludicrous!

What did the MP say? MP's office has a different line to visa offices and CIC usually tell them (MP's office) why an application is passed 1-yr processing mark and why no further update is available (e.g. test invite or additional docs request etc.). Not sure what response did they tell you.

The MP gave me the same answer as the IRCC call center agent - nothing useful. After calling the call center many times after the one year period, I learned that they had not touched my application for one year, so after making all the phone calls they woke up and started doing my background check. It's been two months and they are still doing the background check and I'm not sure how much longer they will take. No problem for them though, if they take another six or 12 months for the background check they will just say your case is unusual and like always no reason, just unusual and they think the rest of the population is as unintelligent as they are to believe their lies.

The funny part of my story is that I have not even been asked for any finger prints or any other documents during 14 months of waiting!

Same here, they didn’t ask for anything and to be honest I don’t think they are even working on my case. Every time I call they tell me the same BS and they say everything is fine and no issue, then I ask why is it in process for 14 months, then they say your case is unusual, then I ask why? What is unusual? What is the issue? They say everything looks ok, it's just unusual. One thing that I can recommend you is calling them frequently and asking for updates, some of those agents are like some creatures that need to be hit on the head with a stick every minute to wake up to do their work. What can I say my friend!
