Guys, I've been asked to send my passport to CIC for stamping but it's a PO box number In Ontario. UPS is saying that they can't print a return lable its a PO Box and not a physical address. Has anyone experienced this?

I wonder if we can write a collective letter from June applicants who are stuck at the Sydney office for no reason.. maybe it can catch Ralph's attention and trigger something
Why?

How is he concerned?

He is the Ministry of Public Safety...not External Affairs or Immigration. He is just helping us because he has better access to information. That too is being exploited.

Please BE PATIENT! I Plead!

Also, please note it is his office we write to. Ms. Robyn Sullivan is the one who responds to all emails on his behalf. I am not even sure he gets to read our messages.

I again request, please keep patience. As @cansha and @sid1987 said a few days ago PPR is just the first step. There are more struggles involved ahead. If you do not keep patience now, those situations may get difficult.

Please take my post with @cansha's pinch of salt and @tobs' grain of rice.

I'm not sure I was absolutely serious about the idea, but
With your logic, he would'n have answered anyone regarding immi cases, since it is not his business.

Regarding patience, it is easy to be patient when the process is transparent and everything works FIFO. In this case, most cases are processed in ~40, ~60, ~90, ~120 days, whereas some people stuck with approved cases for over 170 days for no objective reason. And it does not matter what is written on the web site - if they write processing time 5 years but in reality cases are processed in a month - people will be anxious after a month, not after 5 years

Welcome to our ark @mathansri! Or should I say, welcome to thy girlfriend :) Yup, there's at least 10 of us (and counting) who turned IP2 between 24 and 27 Oct but have gotten no update since. Let me tell you how I've whiled away the time:
1) Emailed Ralph in the second week of Nov and received a reply instantaneously. Criminality passed, Eligibility in progress and Security not started.
2) Connected with an agent in the third week of Nov and received a positive response. All looks good and security shall start as soon as an officer looks at the file and stamps eligibility as formally PASSED from the current MET.
3) Ordered GCMS notes in the fourth week of Nov and am waiting for the notes to arrive before either gnashing my teeth in vain or shouting Hurrah like a maniac because all is well. I do suspect I won't find out anything new, but I've ordered GCMS notes twice before and haven't regretted it at all. The first time I ordered them I found out my eligibility was MET and the second time I ordered them, the status stayed the same, but I moved to IP2 the day the notes were generated and hit my inbox. So, I'd heartily recommend ordering them, as my experience has been nothing but positive.
Do keep us updated on how things go for your gf! We of the IP2 Oct 24-27 ark are rooting for her ;)
Hey mostly ditto for us too...
Haven't tried the 1st step but the agent told me the exact same thing as you narrated, looks like it must have been the same person. :D And most of us in the same timeline have the exact same status i believe so we all might get through together and it brings a :) on my face saying that.
As for the 3rd step I have ordered my 2nd one in 3rd week and hoping the same as you do...

He answers, it is not his responsibility. Not his department, even if you send him a letter, he would only probably pass it on to the concerned department. And I think the department already knows that the delay exists.

Also, if everything was transparent and ran by FIFO method is a dream not a reality. This isn't really a stew that we put all ingredients in a cooker and there is a stipulated time, and the stew is ready. There are many processes and challenges.

Plus, if it was so transparent and streamlined one would never require patience...we could just put in the application and forget about it until 120/180 days. Where is patience needed here?

Patience is a virtue required when there is uncertainity.

Obviously every case is unique, but despite that I've seen at least 3 doppelgangers of my timeline, despite the fact that we all have different countries, nationalities, fields of work and even dependants number. What a coincidence
I was talking about straightforward cases, with all information provided and easily verifiable. All other delays are undersandable

Peace out guys. Its of no use discussing about processes, timelines or whatsoever. It would just keep on increasing your stress levels. Enjoy weekend and be ready for week ahead. I am sure there are lot of surprises in store for all of us as we step into our six months timeline. Happy weekend and Good luck!
