After receving Pre arrival services mail ? How much time does it take to get passport request ?

No it has not changed to Decision made.

The background check is the step where they review the applicant’s police records. Usually it comes before decision made.

Depends. I received my PPR after almost 2 months of pre arrival letter. Some applicants received them in just a day or two or a week/2 weeks.

This also depends on VFS center too. If it’s other than Delhi VFS center, they consume more time. I submitted my passports on 5th of November after which unfortunately were Diwali holidays. They started it on 12th (Monday) and completed by 16th (Friday). I received email dated 19th (Monday). So I think they take 5 days or a week to do the stamping. Btw, I used VFS Delhi which is the nearest to NDVO.
