As another commenter posted, keep checking your GCKEY account as no emails came through about the work permit at all.

That's interesting, so they never sent you an AOR? Mine was received Aug 15th and I got an AOR Sept 8 but they haven't updated anything in terms of Medical Request or OWP yet. Maybe I should call them.

Oh sorry, I did receive an AOR - I wasn't sure of the date but I checked now and it was around September 19.

Tried to get a hold of them today but unfortunately I couldn't even into the queue because of how many people were trying to call. Any updates on your end? I still haven't received anything.

I mailed my application by mail and just today linked it to my GCKey. Is there a way to track my OWP or do I have to wait for something via e-mail or by mail?

Using GC key you can link your owp application. I used my UCI and place of birth. Please note that the UCI to use is not the one in the AOR letter (that’s your sponsors UCI), use the one that’s in your pr application when you click “check full application status” hope that helps.

That worked splendidly, both my PR and OWP show Current Status: Submitted. I take this is the system is still updating or that's really what it means.

Nice! Maybe just give it a day or two to be sure, did you have to re submit your owp also? If so then it might be a bit too soon, minimum time for owp is 2 months from AOR date.

Ok ideal, I would say that the submitted status would be accurate, hopefully they keep up the current pace and your owp approval should be last week of November keep us posted and best of luck

Similar timeline here. And received the medical request today. Feels good to know they are actually doing work on our file.
