Hello everyone,

I need your advice urgently. I am an inland MPNP applicant. My application to CIC was received in September 2017. I passed the medical exam. I have been waiting for around 14 months.

However I get laid off from December. I am wondering if it is affect my application. Should I inform to Manitoba province. I am afraid that if I inform, they will withdraw my nomination. I heard that after submit application to CIC until get Pr, they will not check the job again. I need your advice that should I inform Manitoba province. I have close work permit until May 2020. I have no restriction in my nomination but since I have a close work permit, it is difficult for me to get a new job in NOC B.

I am frustrating with the waiting and I really need your advice.

Thank you very much.

You would have done any job wth notifying CIC or MPNP if u had an open work permit.
Now you have to contact MPNP and explain your situation and update them wth new job letter frm new employer to get Work permit support letter and then you can get another closed work permit from new employer from Canada border ( closest is emerson border). Dont work without valid work permit wth employer unless you had open work permit.
You can ask if u still have any doubts.

What I am afraid is that I can not find a job in Manitoba after the laid off because my major is quite narrow and there are not many jobs. I am wondering if it is OK because I expect I will get PPR in 3 months. They probably will accept if I donot have a job for 2-3 months.

Same scenario with a friend of mine. He got laid off last yr (actualy he was unemployed for more than 6 months) before PPR, but he informed the province. Considering his case was even worse because his work permit will also expire in a month. But the gov't were kind enough, they gave him a 1 yr open work permit and has received his PPR last August.

Thank you. I am going to inform the province when I get laid off. However I am afraid that CIC will ask for updated job offer because in this forum some applicants were asked for job offer when CIC process their application. I already passed the eligibility, hopefully they will not ask. What a long wait
