So i called CIC just now and the agent told me that my eligibility is still under review and security not started. He also mentioned that my file is still at CIO and not been transferred to Ottawa. I don't know what's wrong with my application. I have ordered GCMS notes twice and they were exact same notes. I have eligibility review required for sibling document but I haven't been asked for any ADR . My AOR is june 8th and I am really getting worried now. the case processing agent summary notes says:

REVIEW REQUIRED UNDER CRS POINTS FOR SIBLINGS IN CANADA---SIBLING DOCUMENT RELATIONSHIP DOCUMENT NUMBER (2274652) A11.2 REVIEW REQUIRED
R75 :MINIMUM REQUIREMENT APPEARS MET, R76: SELECTION CRITERIA FSW POINTS APPEARS MET , R76 - SELECTION CRITERIA: FUNDS APPEARS TO MEET , FSW POINTS TOTAL 69 READY TO FINALIZE , RPRF COMPLETE

can anyone please shed some light as to what should i do ?

There is nothing much you can do unless you have better documentation than you already provided to CIC. Case analysts sometime tag some documentation which is not 100% according to what they expect. Then the VO has to approve the document to approve eligibility. It can be done at CIO itself so it doesn't matter if the file has not been assigned to a VO.

Has that happened before? Lots of people having their application approved and not getting their mails. I feel it’s almost becoming a trend now, we are either really close or as someone said, they are just slowing down on purpose letting oir applications sit there for a couple weeks more before issuing our PPR.

I don't think I have seen so many "approved cases" waiting for PPR before. I think reason is Ottawa moving these files to a different VO at the last moment. I would think the guys in other VO won't just drop everything and work on these files. Plus I don't know if they actually see the files assigned to them require "minimal" work for them to prioritize these files. Whenever they get to these files we can expect a big PPR wave here.

Thank you for your reply. I don't know what other document i can provide apart from what I have given. I have given my sisters PR card copy, utility bills , mortgage documents, tax returns and my birth certificate for both my sister and myself to prove that we have same parents. The only issue was that my birth certificate had a different last name for my father as compared to what my sister has for which i have provided an affidavit stating that both the names belong to my father. I have also explained that in LOE . So I am not sure as to what are they reviewing or what other document can I provide.
If you can think of something else please guide me. Thanks again

%age statuses by month as per Immitracker. Based on my past experience on reaction to this post will start with following disclaimer points :D:D
  • Yes the immitracker data may not be accurate. As we all know not everyone updates the data there. But I think it is okay. In practical world decisions are taken everyday based on a sample of a data set.
  • If you feel - “Oh I could list N reasons the data is not the right sample" … well yeah I know that BUT unless someone can give us better data, this is all we have. So let’s make peace with it.
  • Immitracker ignores inactive cases. And yes it does impact %ages. However, I think immitracker is correct in ignoring inactive cases.
  • I stand corrected on above. On 9th October there were a lot of cases which went inactive and hence were messing up the %age trends. I was not tracking active cases on regular basis as the numbers didn't change much. But to keep consistency I have now used active case number as on 21st Sep (as that is the only week I had captured number of active cases)
  • Having said all of above, I think this data can still be used to see trends which are useful. The %ages may not be accurate but overall movement is definitely indicative of progress
  • And lastly, if you disagree just ignore!

My Observations

  • Although we didn't see a lot of PPRs on the forum, but June seems to have moved. May be these people are not on this forum ... BUT June is still 10% behind at the same time compared to May. I think this %age could have been high in case all those "approved" cases actually ended up with PPR.
  • July and August seem to follow the trend.
  • It is clear from the data the actual slow down has happened post April.
Here is my theory what may have caused it .. its pure conjecture so take or don't take it seriously depending on your personal preference.

I think till March / Beginning April Ottawa was processing most cases for US / Canada and only cases which required additional review were mostly assigned to the other smaller VOs. As the volume of applications increased, these smaller VOs also started getting normal applications to process. But I think no one told them that now they are getting normal applications to process as well. And since the 6 month timeline didn't apply to review required applications these VOs don't realize they are sitting on applications which need to be finished within 6 months. And hence the delay.

With this I hope everyone has a great weekend. And may be a bunch of PPR are on their way and people will receive them over the weekend. In any case let's hope for a better next week!

I think whatever you have provided makes sense. In my experience in reading various GCMS notes, I can say that whenever an analyst finds something which requires additional explanation they refer it to VO. I guess they are trained / told to do so. I would say just hang tight and wait. I don't see what additional you can do at the moment.

No, work experience being part time cannot be a reason for review otherwise IRCC wouldn't have put that as one of the types of eligibility criteria in their website. For further assurance I can also confirm you, my 4 years of 20 hours per week part time work has been accepted by case analyst and was converted to 2 years and 3 months full time experience. Your review could be because of the reference letter where duties may not be up to the mark with the selected NOC or may have other vital information missing. If you have provided a good reference letter and other supporting docs (i.e payslips) then just relax, VO will make it pass.
ok thank u .
